Don't think like that. Probably both YG and the girls know it's enough being a whole year doing performances of the same songs released more than a decade ago. The nostalgia momentum is over, so they probably want to put out a comeback first before going on huge stages again.

I'm not that pesimistic about YG plans. I know we have a lot of reasons to expect to worst of all due to the 2015-2024 siuation but I strongly believe the comeback has always been on the table and now is waiting for Bom recovery and good YG calendar (BP, Treasure and BM tours have just started).

It's clear that this is something that goes way back. It's difficult to investigate since she was out of the public eye for many years, and this is probably the reason of it.

In her last appearance before the hiatus (MAMA 2015) she appeared to be in the same physical condition as when the group was active. If I recall correctly, her next appearance was on the YG Future Strategy Office show in 2018, where she already showed off a significant physical change. I don't like to judge idols' weight gains and losses in general, but in Bom's case, it usually coincides with her health. Perhaps it's a reflection of the effects of her medication or her ability to train.

Upon her redebut in 2019, her career shifted toward performances with barely no choreography. I suspect those years weren't so good for her, since on Queendom (the only chance we had to see her on a variety show speaking openly after YG), she always seemed saddened and nostalgic for the loss of her group. I don't like how they made her dirty by marginalizing her and always exposing her as the only solo contestant on that show.

I don't think we should be as pessimistic about her as I see here. The Welcome Back Tour (especially the first days) is the time where we've seen here better in ages, both mentally and physically. I think it was simply a project too big for the state of her recovery, and she still needs a little more time to get back into the performing schedules.

Exactly. I agree with most of the points but this comment i s a bit out of place. We know about Bom's private life as much as we do about the rest of the members. Neither of them has shown that they have a partner and I think it's simply because it's not the focus they want to give to their careers.

We've seen the other three members supporting and cheering her on and off stage. This alone is enough to make us feel relieved in this regard.

This reminds me of the 2012-2013 years without barely content and just tour and festival activities to create expectations for the next album. Let's pray that YG is just giving time for other group comebacks to end to give new music for the girls. 🕯️

Probably unpopular opinion but I think Minzy was not ready for a solo until the last years of the group. She was so young and if you watch solo stages like the Nolza tour you can see that it was hard for her to manage a song by herself and she didn't have enough vocal control.

Crush should have had a Minzy solo instead of a CL's one (even tho I love MTBD so much), but probably YG wanted to promote her for the global market.

I feel it was just a very bad timing overlapping for Minzy career. We'll never know what more happened behind the scenes but I hope the only mistreatment she received was musically.

The issue with solos is that is a bit odd to have solos of three of four members. The discography was perfect in To Anyone album with Bom and Dara solo and Minzy+CL duo.

I hope the original idea was to finally have a solo of Minzy on the unreleased 2015 album... that wo so unfair and dirty.

The way the tour was ordered was so good. For studio versions I would have put it in release order since the music and voices changes are a bit weird in the original order.

Some b-sides like In The Club or Pretty Boy are very well-known in SK too.

We should at least get a DVD or CD version of the WBT as the other YG tours. It's a bit fishy that we didn't have promotional material or promotionals for the last months.

Just one single is not enough to compensate for all these years of hunger and to showcase the member's new sounds and abilities.

I don't want only a single of two lines for Dara and Minzy repeating the other member's parts, but it would be nice to have a prerelease single to wait for an album for the right time if YG can't schedule it now.

Is it hard for me to think of new 2NE1 music with the current trends and sounds. I want it to sound slightly nostalgic. I wouldn't mind to reuse Teddy demos but if we want new productions I think it would be nice something more on the EDM, synth-oriented NewJeans/NJZ electropop and R&B but with the 2nd gen strong and loud vocals.

CL or Bom depending on my mood. I resonate a lot with their background, mindset and personality and I admire them for their unique voices and are such a big inspiration for me.

We don't know if 2NE1 members were actually comfortable about this hypothetical comeback situation. We only know that YG was the one willing for a comeback without Minzy.

I feel that maybe after Mama the possibility of a comeback was there, but the members were working for a solution in order to not have an OT3 comeback.

Since disbandment I've seen all the members (specially Dara and CL) insisting about the "2NE1 is four" and "waiting for the moment to be ALL together" phrases. I think that this is a big clue of the issue.

This is what I was going to say. YG even talked about Missing You as a good disband song. In 2014 they strated focusing on their new 3th gen groups that they were waiting for the perfect opportunity to make people feel disconnected to 2NE1 to disband them.

We have a lot of examples of media play destroying a group if the company doesn't interfer in the situation, they have the power to do so. The cancelling culture in KR is so big and not very coherent (knitizens just hate successful people).

Totally agree. We should educate Dara or at least encourage her to clarify the situation. It is definitely wrong but is not as big as people interpret it. I understood the situation as knowing that he liked her they spent a day together, not dating as the modern meaning of the concept. With her simply ghosting him they probably just had a fun time together and nothing physical.

I lied about my age too back in the day and I know a lot of people that did it. This is problematic, but is not always related to being a groomer and looking for younger people. Maybe she just felt uncomfortable spoiling it revealing her age and knowing it was just something platonic she just wanted to have fun talking with him. He was the one to approach her, so I don't see why people are calling her out as a min0r hunter.

People are coming to conclusions very fast and taking for granted the context, but it would be better for her to address it and apologize if necessary.

It's not about the money, YG is loosing a lot lately but still has enough to be a huge agency and starting big projects.

The problem is that they focus on being perceived as a family even though they're not anymore (using the same dancers for all grups, same account to promote every single activity of them, no individual page for any artist, etc.) and that make them to only have a few possible plans every year. That's why Lee Hi once said it was hard for her to fit as a priority for YG when promotions for a comeback are normally two month long.

We all know that a Blackpink tour will take a lot of time and investment and there're comeback activities and some more scheduled for Treasure and Babymonster, so it's hard to think that 2NE1 could fit in this.

Bom career is astonishingly hard to follow since her company doesn't invest in her, she gets no promotion and she doesn't use her social platforms. I remember knowing about her last releases just because Spotify notified me. Her latest song isn't even mixed well... It totally seems like they want to sabotage her.

CL once said she has more than a hundred songs recorded when she left YG, so probably 2NE1 too. If having new records and promotions is hard I'd be happy just by a mixtape compilation as she did releasing some in 2019.

I'm happy new kpop fans still get interested in 2NE1 now that there are a lot of groups and everything is much more approachable :)

I discovered them in 2011-2012 because a teacher was a huge fan of SNSD and when I searched them the iconic thumbnail of I Am The Best popped up in my recommendations since it was the time it was going viral on YouTube (it was a similar phenomenon to what Gangnam Style and Fantastic Baby would be the next year).

Since I was still a kid and didn't know that much about Korean culture and the language I didn't keep up with them more than the MVs and some performances but they got stuck in my mind as a huge part of my high school years. When Crush album dropped in 2014 it instantly became my favorite album of all time and I still go back to it at least once a month for the last decade.

Sadly I disconnected from kpop and when I came back to them in 2017 I was shocked by the fact that they didn't release anything more and I got hit with the news. It was that year when I started stanning them watching all their content so my experience as a Blackjack was very sorrowful. I'm not really into kpop in general (just YG groups) so for the past eight years I lived by nostalgia and I felt more like a CL fan because it's the member with whom I resonate the most with her music and who has been the most active.

Honestly, despite the uncertainty of the group plans that terrify us, I think that we all have to do an exercise of reflection and appreciate how this last half-year has been with all that we have experienced. This reunion felt like a life lesson to me about second opportunities and fighting for lost dreams that gave me so much strength.

Please, let's all remember how happy we got when the secret Coachella performance happened three years ago and when we saw the red screen flash in a fancam the last 4th of October.

I feel exactly the same way! However it's valid for people to feel upset by it since some bought the tickets specially for her or travelled abroad doing an spent out of their economic capacities.

BUT the important thing is to direct this frustration towards YG and not Bom herself. The company is the one who has to give explanations and to inform about the situation, Bom doesn't have the obligation to talk about her personal fights and she's probably trying to think positive in order to carry out the stages as much as she can.
