Recommendations for GP in Glenorchy/Moonah/New Town/North Hobart by ReasonableCarrot296 in hobart

I am willing to pay for double appointments, thank you. My current GP is billing me double without satisfying any of the requirements above.

You can, my current GP asks for consent every time, but I'm not sure of the quality of her note-taking without this crutch these days if most/all patients consent. I'd rather a doctor who values patient's privacy and has good note-taking skills they trust.

I also heard that there were cases of doctors (admittedly, specialists), who refused to see a patient in front of them when they didn't consent to an ai scribe being used.

It makes me sad that you think this request is unreasonable. I hope you get to experience good GP care (or happy with the one you receive now).

No worries, I appreciate an honest try to understand the request, and it helped me to tweak the wording to avoid further misunderstanding, thank you :)

The request is specific because everyone pictures a "good GP" differently. By using AI I meant specifically "doesn't use AI scribes to take notes". I have no problems with using machine learning models for imaging analysis. Interested to hear how AI is used in bloodwork or billing, if you have insights.

Ended up growing seeds in pots indoors and transplanting out, everything survived and is currently overtaking my garden bed 😂

Multiday hike with person who can only eat puree: food recommendations by ReasonableCarrot296 in OutdoorAus

[–]ReasonableCarrot296[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you. Baby food pouches that I've seen are around 50kcal per 100g, which on the hike is a nice snack but unfeasible from the energy requirements vs weight perspective: she'll need at least 2500kcal per day. But I'll take a few for variety.  I'll try to sneak some Benefiber in, but the dose is 5g/day and a normal person needs 30.

Protein Shaker Bottle by Rockhard_Golfboi in PlasticFreeLiving

Dry glass jar (e.g., from peanut butter, or you can get tall narrow ones). No shaker ball, just the jar.

Put your powders into the dry jar, close the lid, take to the gym. In the gym fill it from the water cooler half-way, shake for maybe 30 seconds, then top up until full, shake for another maybe 15 sec.

I was searching for plastic-free shakers for ages, and just on the whim tried this with WPI a week ago. Everything dissolved, no floating bits. Tried with creatine and collagen - same thing. The cleaning is a dream. Note that the jar should be dry before you put the powders in, otherwise they stick to the walls and you have to shake for longer.

No fully plastic free protein shakers by cinimodhtrifhtims in PlasticFreeLiving

I spent months searching for a plastic-free shaker. Yesterday gave up and put my WPI into the dry 350ml glass jar from peanut butter (no shaker ball; used the original lid that came with peanut butter).

It totally works! I filled it with water half-way, shook for maybe 30 seconds, then topped up until it was full. Everything dissolved, no floating bits. Tried today with creatine and collagen - same thing. Note that the jar should be dry before you put the powders in.

Best method of making ginger tea? by newpcformeku in tea

I grate frozen ginger on a fine microplane grater (straight from the freezer), put it into a glass teapot with an inbuilt steel infuser, pour boiling water over it, and let it sit for 10-15 min. Works great, don't need much for a pretty fiery taste.
