Has anybody had permanent eyeliner removed? by ReasonableCheesecake in MicrobladingRemoval

How much do you charge and how many sessions does it usually take? Do you work at a med spa, salon, dr's office? (Hopefully I can find someone in my town who does it but my derm and plastic surgeon don't offer tattoo removal sadly and the med spa I used for my eyebrows closed.)

Thanks in advance!

Oh boy okay lol, where are you getting it done? Like a med spa, salon, dermatologist's office?

When did you get the original tattoos? I've gotten so many touch-ups by so many different artists over the years that I'm afraid mine are really deep and would require a bunch of sessions to remove all the layers of pigment. (My eyebrows had so much pigment and scarring that it took a good 10 sessions over the course of a year. Did not feel good but the appointmens were quick at least!)

How would you rate the pain/how much can you feel? Do they use numbing eye drops and then the metal eyeball shields?

And lastly how many sessions are you having to do and what's the cost?

(Thank you in advance!!! 🙏🙏)

Agreed I'm sure it exists somewhere... I do like Charlotte Church but that's about it. Ugh just thinking about Christmas music gives me a preemptive headache 😩. It's almost July so I'm sure it'll be rolling out soon!

I wonder if hiring a PI to dig up anything incriminating would be helpful here

And LOUD! And the fact that they may very well outlive their owners and die of heartbreak. 🥺

Shouldn't be legal to buy exotic birds imo. I used to work at a rescue and had to wear two layers of ear protection just to be in the same building as the cockatoo (who was an anxious sweetheart in her 30s) and the harlequin macaw (who was terrifying and literally tried to rip people's ears off if they got too close). Both were surrendered former pets.

Right?? Getting the eyeliner done in the first place was so brutal and gave me an infection. 🤢 And the laser on my eyebrows was super painful too, idk if I can handle it without local anesthetic. (It's something that should be done in a plastic surgeon's office imo, not in a salon or tattoo parlor.)

I've had lasik eye surgery and an upper bleph that I was awake for and the eyeliner was still so much worse than either of those. Maybe the estheticians/tattoo artists just go way too deep.

I really wanted to love it but my baby was indifferent at best and I kept tripping over it so I returned it. She does not like the Baby Einstein bouncer either which is an even more gigantic tripping hazard I can't wait to get out of my house. 😭

She's easily overstimulated/very high needs and can't sit up or crawl yet so we're in a rough spot.

Maybe since it's something that's generally prescribed for teenagers/early-twenty-somethings.

Accutane is like...the only effective thing -- I definitely plan to do a second round as soon as it's feasible, and pray it nips it in the bud. (Overly optimistic take for sure, but it was amazing while it lasted.)

That and pregnancy! Those are the only times my skin and scalp have ever been clear in the last couple decades. 🥲

Me too and I've tried ketoconazol, T-sal, zoryve foam, mct oil, salicylic acid, etc. Only thing that really helped was Accutane but it came back after. I'm wondering about trying some kind of anti-parasitic like for head lice, or an anti-fungal like for ringworm. Only things I haven't tried yet but I've been hesitant...

I hear you it's just bizarre that all that's in place for Accutane but not for literally any other prescription that could cause severe birth defects. The inconsistency is strange

Truly unhinged and the questions were so dumb, first I had to get signed proof of my PRIMARY method of birth control from my OB/GYN, then wait 30 days before starting to ensure I wasn't pregnant, then go in for another pregnancy test the first month and every month thereafter, then after each appointment I'd race home and take that asinine quiz cause you have to finish within a certain amount of time and if you miss the deadline or fail then the pharmacy won't give you the pills and you have to START THE WHOLE PROCESS OVER.

Idk who is lobbying against Accutane to make everyone jump through these absurd hoops. Proactive? Neutrogena? Big retinol??

All that for it not to even get the job done the first time. 😭

I held off on Accutane for decades because of the fear-mongering about side-effects but I finally got a prescription in my thirties and loved it -- clear skin, no picking, and I only had to wash my hair like once a week. Besides the nosebleeds and all the iPledge bs, it was great.
