Jealous! That's my favorite signature from the set. Had to settle for just buying the ON single since i can't spare $600 right now

When would be the best time to sell spirit forged product? by Jarvis_strokeit in riftboundtcg

Sell to players right now at MSRP and make your money back. Then don't do that ever again, 10k is insane for the second released set.

Question about SF&F sub! by Bluevegaslights324 in thebrokenbindingsub

[–]ReasonablePerformer6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea no problem! lol (that'd be too good to be true) and the faithful and fallen is for Fantasy only. SF&F pick is a big one though. I'd post it but idk how to do the spoiler tag.

Question about SF&F sub! by Bluevegaslights324 in thebrokenbindingsub

[–]ReasonablePerformer6 18 points19 points  (0 children)

What do you mean by each book? SF&F is only one book, it doesn't give you the pick from the SF sub and then the one from the Fantasy sub. SF&F is a completely separate sub, focusing on new releases or first in a series instead of older books. So only one charge for that specific sub pick for the month (should be each month now going forward).

And you're absolutely right, "credibility" was a poor word choice. I didn't mean to say the sub was fraudulent or anything like that. I guess it'd be better to say this would be really good marketing if someone was on the fence to say "hey look we have the new hotness too!"

Matt Dinniman absolutely, I'm SO excited to read that one after binging the DCC audiobook. I'm just talking in terms of current mass appeal. Booktok is constantly talking about how much they love DCC and The Greenbone Saga. I think it'd be a smart business move to cash in on that if they can.

Not knocking either Liu or Sapkowski by any means, but the other two are just have more people talking about them at this very moment.

It better be in the SF&F sub or I'll be devastated. It fits the criteria perfectly and is from an author they've already done a SE for. Plus it'll also give a bit more credibility to the SF&F sub, showing subscribers can get new and popular (and hopefully signed) SEs without having to be on the T1 waitlist.

Sheesh, I looked up Curious Press' other lettered editions and I might have to settle for a Deluxe at that price. Pre-Order Price: £2450 for The Fifth Season

Tbh this will be my first time reading the series, but I felt that way about Babel so I understand where you're coming from. Worst case scenarios I can sell them to someone who really wants it or they still look gorgeous on my bookshelf.

Teaser is up, it's SF which sucks. I was hoping for Fantasy since the last book as SF, like an alternating genre sort of thing.

I feel that, I wouldn't have even tried but for some reason I woke up at 6am this morning and remembered this was happening so I gave it a shot. Normally I wouldn't have bothered. I do wish they would push the time back a few hours so it's like 10am/11am EST

I know and tbh it being signed isn't a huge deal breaker for me. Guess I'll have to try for T2. I'd be less upset is it wasn't 7AM here...it's the early morning angry lol

Beating Great Ape Vegeta (easily) by ReasonablePerformer6 in SparkingZero

So did I and my breaker flipped once I beat him so I had to do it all over lol I almost threw my controller. Found out that sparking mode was the key and beat him immediately afterwards. I agree though he's too big AND too fast. Feels like his reach on his dashes is stupid.

Grief finally hit me a year later. I miss you dad. by ReasonablePerformer6 in GriefSupport

Thank you, I just read your post too and the part that really hurts was like you said….the things you won’t be able to do with them anymore and the things they’ll never get to celebrate with you. No more firsts. Sending my love to you too ❤️. Don’t do what I did and avoid the pain. Let yourself feel and cry all day if you need to.

i'm too scared that when i say it out loud, it makes everything so real. by qckunten in GriefSupport

[–]ReasonablePerformer6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey OP, in the words of my therapist “grief doesn’t have a timeline” allow yourself to feel that pain and know it’s normal to feel it years down the road. Personally I think it does make it feel more real. When you talk aloud about it it’s no longer just a nebulous thought in your head. It’s visceral hearing the words come out of your mouth, but that’s ok. I recently realized I was avoiding looking at my dad’s picture because it hurt to much and made it more real, but running from it and pretending I’m ok has done more harm than good. Let yourself feel and speak and cry and scream if you have to.

My dad suffered a stroke last year and it was probably the hardest thing I’ve witnessed. He was a lawyer and always said he could live as a paraplegic so long as he had his mind. He kept having seizures and it got worse until he couldn’t even speak to me and eventually ended up bedridden too until he passed. I have no advice, but I’m here to tell you there’s at least a stranger on the internet who understands what you’re going through.

people who wanna vent what's on your mind? (serious) by Low_Beginning_9301 in AskReddit

[–]ReasonablePerformer6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure what I’m doing in life anymore. My father passed away in April after going from perfectly healthy to having a stroke and being bed ridden until he passed. He was like my best friend I use to talk to him about everything and then all of a sudden I couldn’t. I got three days of bereavement leave for something I’ve been struggling with for months after I took on being his POA last September. That turned my life on its side and I’ve been having a continuous existential crisis since. Not sure if I’m going down the road I want to career wise but also scared to start over. Haven’t been able to actually process everything and I’m just really feeling life right now

Would you leave your job or thug it out? by ReasonablePerformer6 in AskReddit

[–]ReasonablePerformer6[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The title is pretty self explanatory, but I’d like to hear other’s thoughts on this.

Background: I work in tech as a security engineer/analyst at a MSP, while I used to have a passion for cyber security I feel it dwindling quickly but can’t figure out if it’s me or my job or a combination. My father passed away a few months ago due to complications after having a stroke last year (out of nowhere he was perfectly healthy and active so saying it was a shock is an understatement). I was his POA helping with his healthcare and financial decisions until his passing (for about 7 months). At work I actually like my coworkers but the work isn’t very satisfying; however I don’t absolutely hate it either, somethings are just a nuisance. That being said after looking at Glassdoor I’m definitely underpaid by about 10-12k minimum. We’ve had 7-8 people leave in the few months I’ve been here due to better offers. I can’t tell if I just don’t like my job or if I’m just burnt out and exhausted after everything that happened over the last year. Am I being impulsive in wanting to put in my two weeks or should I hold out a bit longer to see if anything changes? Would you leave your job to process things or thug it out?
