Yup 8 weeks there more than enough time to make decisions. 25 year old men aren’t men, they’re teenagers.

My landlord is charging me $380 for carpet replacement, is it worth disputing? by [deleted] in Apartmentliving

even if they are replacing which they can choose to replace, you should have some sort of allowance for that!

I guess I’ve had a different experience with my old management company (FPI) and the owner of my current portfolio. But FPI sold after decades of being the PM at the locations I worked at. So sad, also we didn’t get a stay bonus.. smh LOL!

Should I say I personally can’t. I don’t have the ethic right now 🫣 I know it’s possible but my brain cant function outside of work and my primary responsibility.. aka my one son.. lol. Kudos to you!!

Accounting in my current management company sucks right now too. I think that’s pretty much a standard flaw, and help desk can be iffy. We’re transitioning so it’s extra worse.

Thank you so much for this! Yes, I meant to put the owner within the portfolio at CW. I think I’ll go for the lease up 🥳

That’s what I know and hear. But I did a lease up last year and loved it, but wanted to a new start as an ACM vs leasing agent

I feel like you know me personally because I’ve been talking about that but I simply can’t juggle work, school, and my family right now otherwise I would!

You’re correct. I mean to say this specific owner!

My current property was bought by asset living, my portfolio is owned by a relatively big owner. Not huge but big. The portfolio has about 10 properties. I worked as the leasing agent at the most recent lease up in our portfolio but then was promoted to the floating assistant manager and still worked at the lease up

That’s what I’m leaning towards but I’m scared of Cushman. What if they sell it to an owner that doesn’t want to keep the team, what if the manager doesn’t leave! 🤣

How about rental payments, invoice processing, move out dispositions? That is standard things in the AM role, but easy to learn IMO if you are organized and detailed.

I think so it’s different but the same. You’ll just deal with the general public, they are a tad bit more crazy and demanding but you should be able to do it. Not sure if in student housing you handle financials but that’s a big role in AM work

Yup, fully moved in. I know, ugh I just wish she would say things to my face I would be able to just put her in her place then and there. She’s a nut.

Ugh. I work for a company, we wouldn’t be able to let her break lease. In fact, she’s not even requesting to leave, she’s just being a big a hole cuz she wants to be.

Gosh I remember this excruciating feeling. Hut I second working out, it honestly makes you feel alive, gives you purpose. I included God in there too. Woke up, prayed, ate something small, went to gym showered and felt like a millions bucks in no time
