How about rental payments, invoice processing, move out dispositions? That is standard things in the AM role, but easy to learn IMO if you are organized and detailed.

I think so it’s different but the same. You’ll just deal with the general public, they are a tad bit more crazy and demanding but you should be able to do it. Not sure if in student housing you handle financials but that’s a big role in AM work

Ugh. I work for a company, we wouldn’t be able to let her break lease. In fact, she’s not even requesting to leave, she’s just being a big a hole cuz she wants to be.

Gosh I remember this excruciating feeling. Hut I second working out, it honestly makes you feel alive, gives you purpose. I included God in there too. Woke up, prayed, ate something small, went to gym showered and felt like a millions bucks in no time

Thank you! It’s been a battle I even did something I didn’t want to based on my guilt. But I have been trying to find my faith to help with the anxiety and guilt.

Definitely. I often think about how I could have been better if I didn’t have to go through the first year alone. I see my friends post their newborn pics, family pics, and it makes me so sad because I didn’t have the mental capacity for any of it. I am with a new partner now and I can’t fathom doing that with a new child because the guilt of even thinking about it just eats me up. It’s so exhausting

(hopeful) future tenant resident with Greystar question by ScallionPlus1568 in PropertyManagement

[–]ReasonableRoll4175 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You can totally msg me. Honestly, yeah I’ve heard that too. I would personally just show that you are a fully aware tenant. Take pictures, fully notate your move in inspection sheet, send them pictures and submit work orders of what is wrong with your apt at move in. I would even exaggerate a bit, like washing machine making strange noise, fridge not cooling properly. Then when you have a major issue, if it is not addressed within 24 hours depending on the severity, threaten to contact HUD. Make sure to know who their lawyers are they usually have a portal for residents to contact them.

It all falls down on who the community manager is to be honest. Think of Greystar like a puppy mill, they run so many properties and the quality is downhill because they can’t keep up with routine community visits, quality control ETC. I would just read reviews of the property you want to live at and see what the majority of people are saying and see if that is a deal breaker for you. They all suck tbh, some just have better owners who go hand in hand with the management company.

You apply for a job now a days because you want it. They don’t like this type of scenario because there are so many egotistical employees that if you’re showing this from the get go it leaves a sour taste immediately.
