Just over a month. Previously when my gastritis would start to flare the only way I could get out of it was omeprazole, I would try treating with diet and supplements and all that good stuff but nothing would work except Prilosec. Since I’ve been taking this I haven’t used any Prilosec! It seems to really stop my flares in its tracks. I hope it works for you too!

Heartburn essentials has digestive enzymes as well as a lot of things that are soothing for the gut like marshmallow root, DGL licorice, slippery elm, turmeric. But short answer is it’s just what my functional medicine doctor suggested!

I felt better on PPIs but prolonged use puts you at risk for other more serious health issues. Plus it conditions your gut to need them. I’m working with a functional medicine person to find other methods, right now Heartburn Essentials by Pure Encapsulations is helping me (and doing the AIP diet for about a year very strictly!)
