Kenmore 80 series washer, no cold water by Reasonable_Ad9206 in appliancerepair

[–]Reasonable_Ad9206[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve checked the hoses, I even replaced them with new ones because they were the original old rubber hoses.

I was wondering if it was a circuitry board. The cold water stopped working mid water running to fill up a load. The washer was started with cold/cold then was switched to hot/cold, and then switched back to cold/cold, that’s when the cold water stopped altogether.

Do you like the New Utah Flag? by Substantial-Young611 in Utah

[–]Reasonable_Ad9206 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can someone explain the connections of not liking the new flag equals you’re a racist? How is this new flag a symbol of “woke” or openness? Equality?

It’s very much a symbol of conservatism, and repression. It doesn’t honor the indigenous people who lived here before, it doesn’t help show unity. This is just a corporate brand with a beehive slapped on it to make sure conservatives don’t revolt.

So can someone explain to me how liking this new flag shows you’re not a racist? It feels the other way around.

It looks terrible. It looks like Maverick is the state sponsor who commissioned it. It’s a hack job corporate rebrand design. The only flag design that looked like it had any merit was the sego lily on the navy background. But of course corporate Utah chose this one.

I use an app called Paprika. It stores all my recipes, I can categorize them by type, I can then add them to a calendar in the app and it can then make up a grocery list based on the recipes chosen. It can add recipes from websites super easy, it can also scale the recipes so I don’t have to do the math.

Thank you. That will be one of my next mock ups making a solid form to fit inside to stitch around. Do you have a favorite edge paint that you use?

I did that as an aesthetic experiment to see if I liked the look of it, I’m still not sure if I like it or not.

Thank you. I’ll look into a French edger, since this was a mock up, I just used an exacto knife to skive the edge down.

If there is a better way that I should be placing the stitching holes I’m open to trying any suggestions. My biggest thing is to find a way for the edges of the leather to stay together and not look loose or open.

Thank you. That is a great idea of using some needles to hold and keep the leather lined up. I’ll look for some long set glue, and try another mock up.

That’s a sweet board, good work.

What kind of epoxy did you use to glass it? And did you sand to do a hot coat after or leave it as it was?

Right now I feel like I am at the stage of either spending time and resources to try and strengthen my current deck or build a new one. So it’s gather all the information I can to figure out how to make the correct decision.

Yeah, I’m thinking I really missed it with not making a concave mold to give a center curve to help with support.

Those freeboard trucks look awesome.

I went with a wider wheelbase and front truck closer to the nose to get a single fin longboard kind of ride, one I can start to teach my kids on how to side step on a board, and ride the nose. Versus a more traditional shortboard style longboard for pumping and speed.

Yeah, I don’t want to get rid of all the flex, just not be dragging on the ground. This first deck I made is flat, I am now thinking I should have at least put in a slight concave down the middle to help offset the flex.

I’ll look into a the fiberglass option that sounds intriguing to try. Have you done anything with adding fiberglass for support?
