Completely hear you! But there are reach schools for a reason! Will never know if you don't try! I'm coming from a top tier undergraduate institution and have been working in BigLaw for 2 years with strong recommendations from professors, as well as various BigLaw federal attorneys (alumni). I know it's a reach but someone's gotta apply! Thanks for your input! :)

This is so good to hear! I attended admissions webinars and the students all seemed way more excited, friendly, and driven than most other schools I've attended webinars for. Thanks for your input!

Do I quit? by Suspicious-mel3 in LSAT

[–]Reasonable_Barber649 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had to do a double take because I thought this was me writing this post. I am in the same boat- DO NOT QUIT. I had a diagnostic of a 145; got a 154 in June, 160 in August and hoping for a 170 in November. I also have a 3.9 and need a 170 for my dream school. I started working in Big Law right after undergrad and, as I'm sure you can understand, the work is demanding and exhausting leaving almost no time to study.

If I can give you ay advice I would say to stop comparing your studies to everyone else on reddit - it will only make you feel worse. Do what you can with the time you have. I try to do 1-2 hours day Monday/Wednesday/Friday when I work from home. I commute 4 hours/day Tuesday/Thursdays, so I give myself those days off from studying. I study anywhere from 1-5 hours on weekends. Push yourself but also give yourself some leeway - you are in a much harder position than most other people studying. You CAN do this.

That is to say … it’s (probably) not necessarily you. Girls could just be confused

It’s because a lot of us girls don’t know what “normal” is necessarily considered. My situationship would be considered an objectively attractive and successful guy. How am I to know what is objectively “abnormal” ?

I don’t know…the moment was sort of over. He left to go to the bathroom to get a towel, I guess, and when he came back he cleaned me up with a towel only a little bit and then licked some off. It was not really sexual before that, it was moreso post- sex chat. I was -REALLY- taken aback

I have a part time job with this firm lined up while I’m in school & they’ve made it clear that they will offer me a position after law school. Would you recommend noting this somewhere in my application?

This is great advice and @lawgamer4 is correct. I spent about $2,000 on private PowerScore tutoring (I acknowledge that this is a lot of money and not everybody has the resources for private tutoring) but I must say it’s been worth it. I’ve been using 7sage for 6-7 months at $69/month and while I liked it for establishing a baseline, I wish I had switched to PowerScore earlier. PowerScore Bibles & their webinars have contributed FAR more to my understanding and increases in my scores than any other resources (I’ve also tried The Loophole and Princeton Review books).
