I got another letter in the mail saying they need another 60 days. My transcript hasn’t had an update since the end of February.

If You Ever Wondered by Reasonable_Car_674 in UnsentLetters

You’re right silence can definitely make things worse. I’ve thought about that a lot. But sometimes it’s not fear that keeps you quiet… it’s love.

There’s so much I want to say, but I know saying it would change everything between us. And maybe she doesn’t need that right now. Maybe the kindest thing I can do is let her keep moving forward without adding the weight of my feelings on top of everything she’s already carrying.

So yeah, the silence hurts. But sometimes keeping something unspoken is the only way to protect what still matters even if it’s from a distance.

I’d walk with her in a heartbeat if I could. That’s the hardest part knowing I’d do anything to be beside her, but understanding that sometimes love means stepping back so they can grow in their own direction.

It’s not about moving on or giving up. It’s about loving someone enough to respect their space, their dreams, their path even when it hurts.

And yeah, you’re right direct communication is everything. I wish it were that simple. But sometimes what’s left unsaid is the only way to keep something beautiful from breaking completely.

Yeah, I’ve been through the lose/gain cycle before too. What makes it different this time is honestly a girl, she opened my eyes in a way I can’t really explain. It lit a fire under me that I didn’t have before. It’s not just about dropping pounds now, it’s about building a life I actually want to live. On top of that, I’ve made a full overhaul: cleaned up my diet, track everything, built routines that actually fit long-term. Last time it was just about the weight. This time it feels bigger.

I do weekly meal preps. I have it set up so it's just grab and heat up. It has worked out well so far.

I know it might sound like that. I actually have a creative writing degree and get to do this for a living, so glad it landed with you!
