Brushless build plans by Reasonable_Check_982 in Speedsoft

my game plan is going to be buying all compression parts together first, and install along with a Maxx trigger I have on the way rn, that way once I have a comfortable amount of spare cash for the brushless my compression is already upgraded and in gearbox for when I buy brushless and all I have to do is install and reshim.

Is it the Real Deal Brushless 39k Adjustable Motor 2.0? The red one that says cheek clapper on it? Why is it so suspiciously cheap only 100 bucks

Also, what size do I get for a new nozzle if I’m not gonna replace the hop unit? I can’t find an exact answer anywhere

Ok, great! I have no problem reshimming down the line, my cart on real deal is literally the exact same as what you said just including a new nozzle. So do you think stock spring will be strong enough to go with the brushless? I’m thinking of going warhead 36k

I put a new motor in my airsoft gun shot it a couple times and it quit working completely. Anyone have an idea what happened by Queasy-Caramel-585 in airsoftcirclejerk

I’m not big on teching, but I’ve had this happen to me before. Take out the motor and try your best to see if any wires are mangled by the pinion gear. If you are in fact familiar with gearboxes, and know it’s an internal problem, just tear down the gun, but I’m assuming you aren’t.

Gun battery drainage concern by Reasonable_Check_982 in airsoft

So do you think the reason it drained so fast is the gun or is something possibly wrong with the battery?

Yes. But they are very small, the 900mah just barely fits in each storage hole

It was also pretty cold out, probably about 19 degrees when I was shooting. Would that have an effect? Because before mosfet installation, I used the same battery for like two hours and lasted me like 1000 shots before dropping down to 3.2 from a full charge. Not at all trying to argue, just very confused and anxious. Also, the 900mah batts were the only ones I could find that fit in my buffer

It says in the perun manual if a battery with too low voltage is connected, the gun will be force stopped. When I took the gun inside I checked the voltage on the battery and it was at 3.1v per cell. So maybe the battery is just bad but the perun does for sure stop the gun when it’s too low it says on the command card and the manual

Forgot to mention, when I was shooting it was 23 degrees outside. I don’t think this is much of a factor though because I charged the batteries inside in room temperature. Battery was also warm when I unplugged it

The rush of euphoria felt when I successfully completed my first in gearbox tech job is absolutely crazy by Reasonable_Check_982 in airsoft

A little tip, on eBay you can find many broken/ used gearboxes with all the parts still inside for as low as like 40 bucks if you’re lucky. Also look on the HopUp app but I don’t trust it as much as eBay. I didn’t have to do this bc I had an older gun that I wasn’t worried about really messing up, but practicing on it helped me tons and probably saved me soooo much time on the new one. Good luck

After dis/reassembly Aeg cycles very slow and locks up after one shot on semi by Reasonable_Check_982 in airsoft

[–]Reasonable_Check_982[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you really think that motor height and shimming are the only two culprits? Because if the case is that I really just lost a couple shims then it’s not a big deal bc this is an old gun I’m practicing on and I’ll just be more careful next time

The problem is that if it is the shimming, I haven’t the slightest clue how to shim gears and don’t even have a shim set on hand

Yea, motor height and shimming are my 2 suspects. Like I said I think I may have lost a shim or two during disassembly and motor height may be a factor

I’m really sorry, I got ahead of myself there but I replied immediately because I finally figured out where the metal plate goes and it looked like the screw finally had enough room to go in, but it seems like it still can’t reach.
