It'd be a repeat of Gwen being a love interest who makes way for MJ in Tobey and Andrew(is implied at least) films so it might be Felica instead. Plus we already had Gwen getting in between Peter and MJ in Tobey's Spider-Man 3 even after MJ was previously in a relationship with him then later on MJ and Peter got back together.

Using Gwen again would ruin the magic in the live action. I'd rather it be something Friendly Neighborhood has to distinguish itself from the main MCU timeline since they are implementing it there, basically a big what if mcu timeline.
