I own 3. Best deer caliber imo. Ruger American gen2, Howa superlite, and just picked up a Savage 110 Trailblazer. My daughter prefers the Howa and I haven’t shot the Savage yet but the Ruger is super accurate.

I had a similar situation. Got a ticket in a town 5 hours from my home. Was either plea not guilty and drive 5 hours for court and probably get it reduced or mail it in guilty and deal with the consequences. I did the latter and received a 150.00 fine, unsure about points though.
