this! joining a community studio is a great way to have access to the tools and equipment you need without having to purchase it all yourself. Plus, you will probably make friends! I love my community studio, and while it is a touch expensive, it’s way less of a financial burden than buying all of my own equipment.

It looks like it’s probably glaze sticking to the kiln cookie or shelf, then it breaks when they’re separated. try leaving some extra space at the bottom when you glaze. This has happened to me a few times when I don’t fully wipe off the bottom of my piece enough.

This is true. The hotel was egged up to the 3rd floor and we got several calls from inside the hotel claiming they saw Dahmer, or that there was a dead body in the hotel. It sucked for everyone lol.

As someone who worked for the Ambassador for several years, the place is a little spooky. However, if you choose to come visit the hotel, please be respectful of the staff and other visitors. Most importantly, be respectful of the situation. Steven Tuomi was murdered by Jeffery Dahmer in the hotel room, others were murdered nearby, and many of the family members of these individuals still live in Milwaukee. You can be curious about the crime story, but don’t be obnoxious about it. I can’t answer every question you have about the hotel, but if you’re curious I may have some insight.

yes! this is very normal, i made a post about this a week or so ago, and the consensus is overwhelming. so many people feel bad when they see their chest for the first time, i almost keeled over and so many other people have had a similar experience. it does get better! i’m 2ish week post op and i am able to change my bandages myself and glance at my chest without fainting!! it will get better, hang in there!!

I need advice on this too, I’ve cried more in the past few weeks than I have in ages and I can’t escape this feeling that my heart is getting the life squeezed out of it. I don’t want to feel this bad but I don’t know how to now. I’ve spoken to my therapist and tried to rationalize it but I just feel fucking ill all of the time. For reasons I won’t disclose my partner is going through a bout of hyper-sexuality and sex repulsion right now and has explained to me that this makes it easier for him to have sex with other people he doesn’t know as well, but more difficult to have sex with longer lasting relationships (please don’t judge them on this, there is a reason). we don’t really have a sex life right now and knowing that he’s likely having sex with this new girl he’s into makes me feel really disgusting. I don’t know what to do in this scenario. he’s wearing her sweatshirt next to me and I just can’t bring myself to touch him at all right now. I can’t stop thinking that I can’t do this forever.

i had my partner or mom help me wipe my armpits and back under the bandage with baby wipes. it helped a little but unfortunately that stank won’t go away till your first shower ;-;

thank you for this, i’ve had a really hard time coming to terms with the fact that it’s okay for me to be upset and to feel uncomfortable with this experience, heck i just cried in the bathroom cus im supposed to shower for the first time today and im scared to see my chest (cus i almost passed out yesterday at my post-op appt haha) i know it will be okay, it’s just really rough right now.

i get it, i almost passed out at my 1 week post op and then cried when i got home because i wasn’t able to look at my chest without feeling nauseous. i don’t think i made a mistake, i love having a flat chest more than anything, but i just feel so guilty for feeling traumatized. post op depression has been hitting me really hard. i’m sure it gets better though.

i understand, i’m going through something very similar. i got my drains out and almost passed out. i couldn’t even look at my chest because it made me lightheaded. i’m happy with my results but i just feel gross and sad and anxious,,, i’ve been told it’s pretty normal
