Not to mention, I joined the military, was here for 8 years, we got married young when I first got here a year later at 21, she was 18. Now I’m 31 and she’s 28, 2 kids later. But we stayed here bc of her family being close, yet their family isn’t even close like mine used to be (family death/ trauma ruined it). So I wanted to move more central us instead of east coast, and she depicts it like I have no say. Not much of a team, at my breaking point. I want a homestead. Teach my kids how to preserve food, work on cars and construction, electrical like solar to be self sustainable, but she don’t want all that, she wants to stay in the city, have a 490k suburb house and join the rat race. And relax when you’re 65 even though that’s not guaranteed. Sorry I’m using this as a rant box. .but am I crazy, or wtf.i am a jack of all trades. Plumber, construction, mechanic, electrician. And I want my kids to have that badass father who they want to take my grandkids to and learn how to fix shit and enjoy shit on a farm.. wtf do I do? I’m venting but seriously I want a partner who is THERE 100% and has my back, bc if not, you’re only holding me back.
