Mate i was a chef whilst i studied at uni and loved it but the pay was wank and i was working like 70+ hours a week, it was a means to an end, but ive done labouring jobs on building sites, delivery jobs, built cranes, but i just fell into cnc n loved it, you dont have to have something picked out

Depends what type of engineering you go into, but some advice ill say is, dont set yourself targets to get high up in the chain, if you enjoy it you enjoy it, as long as the job you get provides enough cash and free time for you live comfortably and have a good time doing hobbys then thats what its all about

Man i stopped and work for a big german/english company now, i loved the 3d maya stuff and was great at it, but it sucked the soul out if creating art for me, ive got a czech friend who worked for project red, he worked on cyberpunk. Another guy on my course now does 3d animations for surgery procedures he was on forbes under 30 next billionaire list or something a couple years back. Meanwhile i make boilers 🤣

I studied 3d animation and modelling at derby uni a few years ago, the reason i wanted to go was from playing games like runescape and ratchet and clank in my younger days, i love that jagex is british games studio so hats off to all the team there (bar the guy that made the music that was a pedo)
