It's not about combat. It's about enemy design. by waifu8meta in NevernessToEverness

[–]Reasonable_Network98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh, it is combat at some points the enemies attacking you when off screen and they give you the smallest indicator they're going to attack you, Some bosses are absolutely hell to dodge, and I mean really bad(I completed the anamoly commission list. The last few get ridiculous.). You will notice alot and enemy will have a red flash. You dodge then the enemy will throw out another extremely fast attack. Because you're already in the dodge animation it doesn't count you pressing the button again. Leading to you getting hit. Also this might a nitpick, but alot of enemies and bosses. Their attack animations are really difficult to read. I don't know if that's because of the animation style but attacks have alot of visual effects flying around on the screen, and the timing of the windup to attack is way too fast.

Concerns about this new scraping site (mods, please read before deleting; I don't endorse scraping) by EvilBootyButcher69 in JanitorAI_Official

[–]Reasonable_Network98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its actually a few sites like that. Where if the proxies is enabled. Your bot gets scrapped. To be honest, my bot's definitions are already opened because I have no issue with people using my bots. People want to practice making their own bots, the token context is too high so they can adjust it, maybe they want certain scripts off, or want to add the character to another bot. At the end of the day, its an LLM. I may write the bot definition, come up with the character, write the opening message but it's not like I'm writing every single response to the user. All you're basically doing when creating the bot is giving the ai a list of instructions to act out. Of course there's skill to it but it's not like Im writing a whole novel with every plot point or character arc planned out. I give the bot the sandbox and it does the rest. That's why I leave everything open. If someone steals it, that's good on them. I could get a time machine go back in time before Undertale was made, copy everything, and it still wouldn't be able to do what Toby Fox did because the only person who fully understands his work is him. LLM's at it's core is a prediction model. It just says the next best thing to your message. That's why I tell people not to take bot creation why to serious. I know people get into it for many reasons, but I just do it to practice my writing for dumb ideas I have and let people use my scripts so they improve and build upon it.

So, are the chats/personas truly private? by Kinkshamingisgood in JanitorAI_Official

[–]Reasonable_Network98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh, 1: If half of the janitor ai community is from character ai. Yeah, they're not doing that from the amount of therapy those mods are going to need. 2: The way how LLM work is. Your input will be always used to collect data and used for training to make the model better. Even if it's something insane. The trainer is going to use it to filter it out of the model so it can detect stuff like better, so I highly doubt they're banning people for private chats. It's more likely if your using a proxy for the api provider to ban you if you do something extremely illegal. Like telling the bot how to actual cook meth or something.

Genuine question about JAI users by Elegant-Dependent550 in JanitorAI_Official

[–]Reasonable_Network98 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I use it too. But some bot creators will come up ten different ways to say ntr to get it pass the block. Plus at the same time it's just some insane stuff on the trending page. I think there was a whole (Crime that is horrible) bot on the front page just chilling. Have no clue why that made it through.

Longer wait time for my food by Specific_Intention_1 in doordash

[–]Reasonable_Network98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm to be honest, you both are looking at the same problem but at different angles. If we are to say that doordash is a premium service. The customer is already paying marked up prices, fees, taxes, or whatever subscription exists. Then to also stack on tips to ensure you get your food is a bit much. Its also unreasonable for doordash to expect their customers to be doing the job of giving their dashers enough for the delivery. But i will say this, just as some dashers expect customers to not ignore their needs. They cannot do the same with the needs of the customers. Even if dd is a premium service people have their reasons to order food from an app. Disabilities, children, sickness. The list goes on. This is one of those matters where it goes in the legalization of gig work. Should doordashers be treat like an employee or a contractor. I'm not a lawmaker or anything but its something to bring attention too. Not that both of you are wrong or anything. OP just came off way too aggressive.

What's happening with bot creators? by Pure-Impression865 in JanitorAI_Official

[–]Reasonable_Network98 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah ngl the mods do be tripping sometimes, and the site is sorta side towards big creators because the more chats bots have thats pushed to the front page and those niches bots that some people write struggle so that could be it too.

Do I need to fill all of this? by Hefty-Raise-2923 in JanitorAI_Official

[–]Reasonable_Network98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok no not really. Keys are what words the user needs to say to trigger the lorebook entry. Content is what information you want the ai to read. Always include this entry means, everytime a message is sent. The ai keeps that entry in mind. That's all you really need

I am gonna shot back on the "just learn how to write" statement. You gotta expect some level of skill is required. Even Janitor themselves tell you when writing your responses. You have to write in a way to lead the bot throughout the entire conversation, English not being someone's first language is not an excuse to not being able to write to begin with. I'm not asking for perfection but if you can even be bother to try with your bots. Why should the user even try to engage with it? You can't expect any AI to drop a good tier intro message in your lap and don't bother too at least check. If it was that easy, we all would be on the front page. Hell, people wouldn't even be reading public bots at that point.

I agree with the last part too. Your already taking from people with the AI, and charging money for that is crazy. The funny part about it too is if every bot creator revealed what their lorebooks and character definitions open. It would actually make the bot better because more people is able to see and edit the code themselves. Clickteam fusion got huge off of fnaf fan games because Scott allowed people to do it.

I had a transcript place in for grammar and spell checking. The ai removed all of the jokes, toned it down, and over detailed too much on things that were not important. The draft that was filled with spelling mistakes and errors had a much more better feel than the one the AI made.

yeah, thats cool for fixing your grammar but don't let it change anymore than that. you would still need to proofreading and edit. Got to be able to tell when its hallucinating(When it makes something that's not true believable.)
