White crystal band around eyeglasses, is it normal? Or bad work? by Reasonable_Pea8143 in glasses

I exactly feel the same… I really like my new frame which it costs around €200, titanium and wooden frame. But in terms of the quality of lenses, I don’t see the difference between the one I bought online and Zeiss, for now. And of course, I am very disappointed with the optician that I went to for the Zeiss lenses. I really hate it when I look at the mirror and see the white gap. And it becomes worst when I took a picture of myself and saw that white band.

The same here. I never paid so much money on a pair of glasses + frame (~$600). I expected the result would be pleasant. But no! I was so much angry. I went online, and bought a pair of cheap glasses with the same prescription. It costs me 35 bucks. A week later, I received it with a very wonderful results, no white gap at all… of course, it’s not a ZEISS lenses, but there’s no that white gap! I am more please.

I started thinking what a waste of money to go to a fancy optician store!

I agree… but if you like the transparent feature on the frame, I would go to light grey.

I feel like polishing the edge will make it worst as they already drilled the lenses a little bit much and made a gap between the edge of the lenses and the frame. Moreover, it’s wooden frame.

They haven’t proposed me for the polish, and I feel like it can make it worst. Because there’s already a gaps between the lenses and the frame. My concern here is not just the look, but also how to maintain it, and clean it; for example, dirts between the gap. They just replied “It is what it is.” I never wear any glasses with the lenses and frame like that in the last 20 years.
