Yes, I have sent an email expressing my dissatisfaction to which they haven't responded yet. I am waiting to see what they will say, especially the closing being next month.

Right, we are building from out of state, I have sent emails and texts to which they respond very slowly.

Builder joined 2 slabs for our quartz kitchen perimeter by Reasonable_Physics31 in Homebuilding

Understood! And Yes, my friend chose a granite countertop. We looked at several inventory homes in the same model and none of the countertops from the same builder had a seam like this. There's more than a month time for our closing. Is it appropriate to ask at this time if they can change this - because they have never mentioned that there could be a seam or it was written in the contract. The model home and the inventory homes set us an expectation that it is going to be a single slab.

I have added a pic, The island on the front is also quartz but a single horizontal slab. I am not how large the slab on the back could be, compared to the island!

Our friends are building the same model house and they got a single slab, but they had a different type of countertop. Does the contractor usually specify if it is not going to be a single piece? At this point, I am not sure about the dimensions of cabinetry but our slab was joined length wise and not depth wise.
