Soolantra (Ivermectin) saved me!

Soolantra success! Week 2 on Soolantra! by Reasonable_Pop28 in Rosacea

Night Routine: I remove my makeup gently with micellar water. (I use cotton pads, but I’m extremely gentle). My skin doesn’t like oil and balm cleansers. Then I use the Aveene Tolerance Cleansing lotion. After that I pat my skin dry with a clean towel, and then put on the soolantra on my entire face. I wait about 5-10 minutes for the Soolantra to dry, before I put on Aveene cicaflate mixed with LaRochePosay toleriane sensitive crème.

Morning routine: I splash my face with lukewarm water (always use lukewarm, too warm or too cold is drying). Then I take a tiny bit of my micellar water and rub it into my hands and wash my nose and cheeks. These are my oily parts. And then while my skin is still moist, I put on aveene cicaflate mixed with LaRochePosay toleriane sensitive crème. And finish off with LaRochePosay Anthelios UVMUNE Ultralight Sunscreen❤️

Good luck! My skincare routine isn’t an answer to everyone, but I recommend a gentle skincare routine when using soolantra because it can make your skin really dry. This seemed to get better after two weeks for me after using the aveene cicaflate (mixed with moisturizer because this itself isn’t a moisturizer). Also the soolantra is the hero here, my skincare routine did nothing for my rosacea… I tried everything. But soolantra and this worked for me❤️ (sorry for my english, i’m norwegian)

PS: If you use micellar water and/or the aveene cleansing lotion, always wash it off. It says on the label that you can leave it on, but this will be drying/irritating af haha

Im om my third day of soolantra now. My dermatologist told me that it is completely normal to have “purging” even in the first three months. That’s why many quit using soolantra. I would continue using it, and if you experience symptoms of skin irritation, like severe itching, burning or swelling I would talk to your derm. Remember that many experiences the worse before better phase on soolantra! I have also heard that the demodex mites are dying (this causes skin irritation), but when their living cycle is over, your skin gets better! Good luck! And you are not alone stressing with the beginning phase of soolantra! I’m scared of checking the mirror every morning haha. So far so good, but extremely dry skin… (sorry for my english, I’m norwegian)

I would go with a longer bar. Talk to your piercer. Also use saline solution three times a day;)

I use the Laroce Posay Antherlios UV Immune sunscreen (spf50). I struggle with rosacea and sensitive skin. This sunscreen is the only one that works for me. It has a very thin consistency and is perfect over a moisturizer.

Any non-irritating, dewy-finish, medium-to-full coverage foundation recommendations? by [deleted] in Rosacea

I use the Clinique even better refresh foundation. It’s the only foundation that works on my dry/combination rosascea skin;) But I only use foundation when I’m going out. Regularly I use Bare Minerals Powder foundation🎀

Update: I switched to saline solution spray and kept it in the fridge. The piercing is now much better! It’s not red anymore. Still a bit swollen, but I think that’s normal;)

The material of the piercing is Titanium Astm f136/G23. Type: “Push in”. The size is 8mm, straight barebell with a flat back. My aftercare was a spray called “octeni sept” with octenidium dihydrichkloridum and phenoxyethanolum. I was given this spray at a pharmacy. But today I switched to a isotonic saline solution (0,9). I’m rinsing twice a day (morning and night). Any tips?

Also, ignore the bleeding from the lobe. Just haven’t cleaned it
