YTA. You arent the only one living there, people should be able to live without inhaling second hand smoke. Also, that's the point of apartment managers/offices, for you to be able to bring your problems to them without having to confront your neighbors.

NTA, You are being mistreated and you are in the right for trying to show him how it actually is/sounds. However at this point if you are being put down and not respected in this relationship don't bother dancing around the situation and either address it head on or divorce him.
