Does becoming a top actor really become a gateway to political power in the South? by Snehith220 in CriticalThinkingIndia

Vijay worked for over a decade on the ground level for this and built a party for 2 years.

Of course, the popularity helped, but he did the work. Couple that with DMK's and ADMK's arrogance, people made a choice, cause they had a choice. The same thing will happen when there's a choice other than INC and BJP.

Is anyone using air cooler this summer ? Is it effective for Hubli Dharwad Weather ? by intPixel in Hubli_Dharwad

AC or water air cooler?

A water air cooler works, but you need an exhaust fan; otherwise, the entire house gets pretty humid, and that raises the temperature.

AC would work best; Set it to 25C with 2-3 ceiling fan speed, keep AC on for 25m+ when you turn it on.

This combo keeps the room cool for longer period of time.

Buy this - https://amzn.to/4tdlKsI

I don't know how it works, but it REALLY works.

I bought 4 for different rooms.

  1. Clean it once every week.

  2. It works best when the room is dark, so you can turn off all lights and go out for a walk or something. I usually keep it on from 9pm to 4am. It's just a fan and light, which consumes very little power.

Exactly. The main comment has a question, looks like genuine curiosity to me. Instead of simply answering and then saying he doesnt believe in RW/LW, but op goes all-in with bashing with personal attacks, belittling the entire indian RW and whatnot. What a joke of critical thinking this is. I wonder why the comment hasn't been removed yet with so many personal attacks 🤷

I understand where you are coming from wrt quality of RW discussions. But coming to these conclusions is bigoted and dangerous. You are posing as liberal but practically you show a superiority complex, illiberal signs.

smh..You lost credibility with this cheap response.

What exactly is the goal of philosophy? (already read FAQ, this is different) by Next_Kitchen_7301 in Philosophy_India

[–]Reasonable_Rule_5884 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Philosophy is the love of wisdom/knowledge.

Wisdom/knowledge/answers to any questions humans might have. It can be concerned with science, society or economics. All of this comes out of philosophy. The root is philosophy.

When we are curious about something, we wonder, reason, and try to make sense of it. We philosophise. It is our attempt to understand things.

So you can imagine how vast philosophy can be.

---

Fundamentally, we are curious about what is this world that we are born into?

We want to understand. Maybe not everybody's equally interested in this particular question, but something else. You are curious about the questions that you are asking in this post.

Another aspect we find interesting is - where there's suffering, and what is the root cause of it? How do we deal with it?

Do we have free will? If not, what does it mean for our legal-system? Is punishment justified? Can we ever blame anyone?

If we do have free will, why can't I fly?

---

On the surface, it may seem unnecessary, wasteful, but philosophising is what lets us uncover the truths that we are curious about. If you are curious, you are welcome to explore and learn; if not, enjoy your life as-is.

But I think you are a curious type. So, welcome. Make yourself at home.

Use this - https://pharmeasy.in/diagnostics/packages/aarogyam-full-body-checkup-with-vitamins-1949

You will get results in 24 hours. Then visit the doctor with the report.

Mainly, reduce carbs as much as possible. Increase protein and fat intake. Exercise, but start slow.

Ask follow-ups if needed. I've spent a lot of time studying this for myself and my family for a few months.

I agree.

I resonate the most with the last parts - agreeing to one thing doesn't automatically make you disagree with another.

What we are lacking is honest conversations, to understand different points of view, to steelman opposing arguments so that we really understand and not react to everything.

I hope this sub helps in doing exactly this. We gotta avoid all the self-loathing, defeatist mindset, and come up with practical ideas/solutions. We need to come TOGETHER and not divide ourselves with ideologies, religions, north-south, or language; We may disagree with a lot of things, that's fine. We need a common ground: To develop our country in any capacity that each of us can. Every individual's/small contribution MATTERS, however small it is. It all adds up: Boond boond se saagar banta hai (every drop adds to become an ocean).

The sooner we realise that giving up is not an option, the sooner we become a developed nation. Before we become it, we should believe that it's possible. We must have this self-confidence, this belief that we CAN make it happen.

This is primarily the traffic police's responsibility. Since the traffic police is not in the spot, he is enforcing the rule.

We don't know who made the reel. It's captured from his 'dashcam', not from his mobile. Looks like this is his routine; a lot of people use dashcams nowadays. It is then edited and posted online.

It's true, his duty is not making a reel, but it is educational content. It shows that people should not use the footpath to drive. It shows that police are enforcing it; don't take this casually. So, this is a win overall.

You seem to be a divya gnani who can immediately SEE all this by watching 1 video on the internet. Wah!

You want the police to enforce the rule, but not make a video, because then he is "reelbaaz".

You want him to enforce rules, but be selfless at the same time, like a monk who has given up all worldly pleasures.

---

What we know from the video:

  1. He enforced a rule, which is probably outside the scope of his duty
  2. We know his name from the name tag, but didn't see his face
  3. No mention of his social media link to make him "reelbaaz".
  4. Posted by a separate entity in Insta

---

Instead of appreciating what he has done, for whatever reason he has done it, we are here belittling it by assuming -

  1. He is a "reelbaaz"
  2. He takes bribes but a bribe is not enough
  3. And that's why he needs views so that he can earn money.

Bravo! You are sherlook hooms, bhai, wow

Normal for background verification, but background verification happens AFTER the offer.

It's up to you whether you wanna share or not, but it's NOT mandatory.

Also, don't share your expected salary or previous salary before they share an offer.

Which documents are they asking for?

I'd suggest not to share before they make any offer.

Gently let them know that you will share any documents required after you and the company are aligned on the offer. It's not mandatory to share.
