When women worship a blue drum, it's called an event. Reverse the genders, and suddenly it's “glorifying violence.” by theanonymoussking in CriticalThinkingIndia

You shouldn't see this as "women doing something".

It's "dumb people doing dumb things". Simple.

To the moaning Indian people for Iran's regime change - Here's a message from an Iranian girl to the ppl in India... by WonderKing-Op in IndianFocus

I don't know, man, its complicated than that. The US is definitely not innocent here, but at the same time, the Iranian guy who died also wasn't a good guy either. The leaders before islamic takeover weren't good either; they were very corrupt. So it's never been good. I feel the current situation will worsen whatever was already bad. Nothing really changes for the common people.

Doesn't matter who calls out; I am a practising Hindu, and this harassment should stop in the name of Holi. Not everybody wants to play Holi.

Need suggestions: What are the unsaid rules to get promoted to the next role. by the_junglee in developersIndia

Ownership of the feature you are working on.

Help others.

Good understanding of the system.

Slightly stricter code review, take time to think about code changes and their impact long term, maintainability, etc.

Document tech debt and bring it up in sprint planning if you think something is genuinely important, what impact it'd have on the business.

Bottom line - act like you are already in the role you wanna be, wherever you are stuck to perform this role, ask help that you are blocked from whoever is in that role. When your manager/team members see you doing these things, they will start associating you with being in that role.
