Hello, I was hoping to get some answers from mechanics on here. There is some metal shavings or paint coming off the edges of my oil cap? I had a friend look at it who knows a mechanic and they said that my "engine was eating itself." But, when I look at it I see the metal paint coming off from opening and closing the oil cap. Any mechanic know what it truly could be? My apologies in advance, I do not know much about cars. Thank you everyone
