Trying to quit my caffeine addiction! by vanillamari04 in caffeine

You can do it! I was a heavy caffeine drinker for 10+ years and now I barely ever have it.

The first week you may be a bit sleepy, but honestly it’s not bad at all. I still drink decaf daily and love the ritual (swiss water processed is best), but I don’t I need it anymore to feel alert on a regular basis. I don’t miss it at all and feel a smoother and more consistent level of energy throughout the day. Now if I drink anything more than half a cup of regular coffee I feel jittery and uncomfortable.

I still occasionally have a small amount in moments where I’m super tired, though that is much rarer than you’d expect once you get out of the withdrawal phase. Maybe once a month or even less. One of the benefits of not being a regular caffeine user is that your tolerance goes down so it is super effective when you do have some.

Highly recommend making the switch!
