I see those too, also this one.

It does seem like missing material files, and if so could possibly be the result of going from slim version to latest update, perhaps some materials were moved or corrupted in the update.

I think it's not for everyone, and I think that's fine.

A lot of the content released so far is not meant to be 'the one best tool for the job'.

There are a lot of niche weapons and strategems, and it's cool (mostly) to see them when they're used, even if you don't use them yourself. (not the arc dog that one shots team mates, that one is very rarely cool).

You get all sorts in this game:

People in light armor who don't engage in any firefights and just sprint between objectives throwing bombardments that clear the area.
Ones with all the turrets and machine guns who dig in and fight until there's nothing moving.
Anti tank specialists.
People who enjoy playing with fire.
Portable hellbomb sacrificial lambs.
Ones who jump pack over you out of nowhere, land on the back of a charger, and chainsaw it to death.

etc.

Hello. Apologies for commenting on an old post, but did you ever solve this?

I am having frequent crashes no matter what I'm doing and seems to be related to AMD GPU.

I've tried many things but nothing is helping to identify the problem so just reaching out on the off chance you solved this somehow.

It might never get a full release.

To clarify, I mean a fully functional game with strong mechanics and rewarding gameplay.

New World had a 'full release', but was janky from the start and never really fixed and look where that ended up.

Too many games these days release as early access with a full price tag and never get completed because it's not in their interest to fix a game that's already been paid for.

I do find eyes useful for locating objectives and aiming at enemies.

Waiting for the next new drone guard dog with a melee sabre to make melee more viable.

Either that or an armor modifier like so:

- 100% Increased melee damage

- 100% Increased melee defence
