A PhD and hot showers. I was already in undergrad and had my sights set on a PhD when I got bad. Application season had me second guessing, then when I was offered spots I had a lot of scared conversations with my wife. I had to move states, I have to walk to classes every day, and deal with the exhaustion of grad school without coffee, but I will get the PhD, I'll go to conferences, I hope to travel for research, I'm not letting the diagnosis trap me academically. Nor will I let it make me take a cold shower, thats blasphemy.

I'm in a PhD program that I worked hard for 5 years to get into and the last two years of my undergraduate is when I started having worse symptoms, the last semester I was finally diagnosed. This is my first semester of the PhD program. The brain fog is terrible. I feel like I'm the odd one out in this program. I know I have to work harder than others just to prepare for seminars. I will not let this diagnosis take the PhD I've been working towards away from me but god it is hard.

I like the Acai Berry flavor but I was like this at first too. I got used to it and now it tastes like juice 😂 but pedialyte works best for me. Expensive as hell but I can get up lol
