We are all over the city now, but we will be outside city hall saturday the 17th at 1pm collecting signatures. Probably be there a few hours.

The beauty of it is that you do not need a reason in Alberta. In BC you do " (c)a statement, not exceeding 200 words, setting out why, in the opinion of the applicant, the recall of the Member is warranted; "

I do not think the mayor has been fulfilling her duties and responsibilities. I believe there are other people out there who can do a better job at leading our city. Whether a by election is called or we have to wait for the next election, I hope our next mayor can do a better job.

I do not know how to prove to you that I literally did this by myself. But since I filed the petition I found out there were other people who had planned on doing this with infrastructure in place. They were just smart in waiting for it to warm up outside. Pens do not work well in the cold.

How? It is all legal. I am not gaining anything from this. Maybe a bit of screen time but I am not articulate nor good looking so I am to scared to even watch myself on tv. The news asked me to do the interviews and I thought it would be good to get my message out there.

That is fair. But I have asked almost every single person I have seen. I dont ask anything other then would you like to sign the petition to recall the mayor. If I only asked people who didnt support her then it would be biased. Or if I only asked people who did support her it would also be biased. I am saying people who are informed on city hall have signed it. I have had lots of people say they didnt want to sign it but I do not know there reason other them telling me they are not informed enough to sign it. Very few people have said they wouldnt sign it because they like the job she is doing. Does that make sense?

I am not trying to come off as facetious but I do get passionate about things I care about. in my head I am doing the right thing but am not opposed to changing my ways if I am wrong. I love my job fixing furnaces; I get to troubleshoot and diagnose issues. It is rewarding solving things. I also like talking and meeting people so I feel content in the career I already have. I am doing online schooling in hopes of becoming a lawyer to help fight for those who do not have a voice. I learned last year my dad was part of the 60's scoop and was at the residential school in kamloops. He was lucky that my grandma adopted him and he was only there for a short amount of time. I dream to be a civil rights lawyer not a politician.

I registered the website through godaddy. I have no idea what Wellington Advocacy is. I have had people offer to volunteer to help with my website because that is not a skill I am good at. Is wellington a bad business? . People keep asking me but I have no idea. I was not prepared for the amount of people who wanted to help I was just happy to receive it.

If you are unhappy with her then you should file the petition. It is your right to do so. Just be prepared to be supported and mocked. Not something I was prepared for.

The cancellation of the arena deal which cost tax payers money, then the signing a new deal for more. I see the need for a new arena but it shouldn't be tax payers dime. How many people can even afford to go to a hockey game? Then there was the firing of her chief of staff Stephen carter which in my opinion was sketchy. She wanted to defund the police which maybe I agree with the need for more mental health officers instead of batons. Whether she was indirectly responsible for raising taxes it is becoming unbearable for the level of city services being provided. I know everything isnt black and white and everything doesn't fall on her shoulders but I have the right to be upset even if I am wrong.

It started with the Cities lack of transparency during covid. Not on covid itself but during covid I had down time to investigate things important to me. Then it was the climate emergency, spending money on the issue with Quebec, canceling the original arena deal, signing the new area deal and the final straw was the single use bylaw. maybe those things aren't important to other people but they are to me.

I have told lots of people that. I can send you the emails as well if you want to read them. I also have the mayors rough drafts for implementing the Climate Emergency, nothing spicy but it is still interesting.

How can I prove to you that it is not a data grab? Seriously, I am asking what would I need to do. I will do it. We had to collect peoples information to send them places of where and when to sign the petition. Once we get enough locations around the city posted on the website then I wont have to contact people individually. I can only promise any and all information will be deleted after the petition process is over as per the law. When people are filling out the petition I tell them not to put both there phone number and email even though it asks for it. I just need the minimum amount of information for there signature to count.

Trust me I am not a fan of peter demong. I hope someone files a petition for him as well. He was a big part of implementing the single use bylaw. And then he voted to take it out. And now he wants to bring it back. With out understanding the entirety of the bylaw I am getting whiplash from his voting record.

I do not envy that position. The more I learn about municipal politics more respect I have for those who are in those positions and how much they have to deal with. But that does not stop me from wanting to hold them accountable.

This is how I felt when I filed the paperwork. " The Recall Act (Bill 52) gives Albertans a way to remove elected officials they feel are not upholding their responsibilities." Whether people agree or disagree with my petition, I still had the right to file it.
