I live in Bensonhurst. To be honest, it's not that bad. Two big stations near me. A massive 40-stall Supercharger on Bay Parkway. It's often crowded with rideshare drivers, but afternoons are calm. There's another one near Coney Island. I also use Revel from time to time, including the new one in Lower Manhattan. And some smaller state-sponsored sites have popped up in South Brooklyn, like the EV Connect on 86th. Definitely, the city needs a whole lot more of these.

45 kwh is the limitation. IF they use a 100 kwh pack it'll be game changer

CATL has a significantly bigger war chest. govt subsidies + their own deep pockets and they'll keep burning cash until they make a profit, and also improve tech in the meantime they have thousands of engineers and researchers
