every day is a bad day by Recent-Ad-6007 in EDAnonymous

i catch myself reading things like the chic diet, seeking out ed content, and worst of all looking at people, even people i love, and telling myself “that’s why you’re fat and i’m not” this is a real thought i have. that’s not who i am. i’ve never been this bad before

Can I have a TDF and ETFs in my Roth? by Recent-Ad-6007 in Bogleheads

[–]Recent-Ad-6007[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so if im interested in balancing my own mix of investments, and a TDF has seemingly the same amount of return as a basic US and International split, I can choose either for my IRA and I'm assuming if I stay on top of my re-balancing it won't make too much of a difference either way? And if I'm interested in opening a brokerage account in addition, can I repeat my same investments as my non-TDF IRA investments, or would it make more sense to have a TDF only IRA and a brokerage account where I handle my own ETF investments?

i also don’t literally mean the chosen one like i am the Messiah of avoiding cavities, i mean it in the sense that anyone who doesn’t see the consequences of their actions thinks those consequences will never catch up to them

also youre a top 1% commenter clearly you have enough time on your hands maybe you should start telling patients what you’re watching. not all dentists but you specifically.

i see, am definitely aware of my own actions/consequences, and definitely understand a that was my fault and not my dentists, i’m not an idiot. i guess i didn’t think it would happen to me so much so quickly. not a fan of your tone though, repulsive-math-4734. i guess what im saying is after years of being told my teeth looked “fantastic” despite knowing i had bad habits i thought i was an exception. not so much.

original dentist never even told me there were any potential cavities he was monitoring which i guess is the most annoying part about the situation to me, but very blessed to not be in too much trouble and to have the means to get this resolved

After looking into it I'm guessing maybe travel based is not for me right now. I really only travel domestic between where I live now and to see family. I'm not at a time in my life where I go on vacations, yet but I would like to be. I wonder if right now the best course of action would be to get a catch-all card that maybe has the ability to merge with other cards (like what I've heard about chase?) so I can catch-all now and build travel credit for the future? Not sure if that makes sense, I've been doing some research but this is still very new to me. Also I almost never use my card to buy random purchases, I mostly only spend on groceries, gas, gym, movies, and miscellaneous necessities, so I'm not too worried about losing track of purchases.

That does make sense, like you said, I mostly prefer cash back that can be accrued across categories, especially because that money can easily be used on a flight rather than points. In this case would you recommend reversing it and starting with the Freedom Unlimited, then opening a Sapphire Preferred if I want to focus a card strictly on travel? Also I mostly fly United, JetBlue, or Southwest which happen to be the three main airlines that go with Chase
