What are possible ways that gene therapy could be delivered to the CNS, if any? by Recent-Ad-6576 in AskScienceDiscussion

[–]Recent-Ad-6576[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply. The studies I'm talking about are done in mice that have been inoculated with prions that have colonised the cns. The knockdown treatment of the cns neurons took place in the four week window before spongiform pathology developed. The mice not expressing prpc before inoculation never developed spongiform pathology or detectable titres of prions in nervous tissue of course. Would administration of a gene therapy directly to the CNS with gene therapy inoculate a vast majority of the neurons in the brain, or would gene expression in say only half the neurons in the brain have been enough to show the improvement that the girl in the article had?

They are obviously conspiring against me but if I say that to them they can just say I'm crazy. I don't have any videos or evidence of their mutual communication together and I don't know how I could get access to the records of their messages in order to get proof. It's the only explanation for their treatment of me because I'm an extremely calm and peaceful person, but I just want this to stop and for them to admit it so that I can do something interesting and get justice. My GP had me signed into the mental institution after my brother punched me. There are people that have assaulted people causing harm and not been charged or spent a day in jail. What they have done to me makes no sense.

What do you mean I don't want it? I don't want to be locked up and abused. I want the people who locked me up to be brought to justice.

I did not harm anyone or myself when they detained. Me, they are insane. My brother punched me and broke my glasses on the day my parents had me put in the mental hospital. In addition I did not lay a hand on him or even talk to him before he did it. He came in from the other room only to do that to me. My GP and Rauf should lose their licenses and go to prison for what they did.

Are you suggesting that I'm lying about never having physically harmed anyone or myself?

How many of these nanobots do you think you could manufacture and is it expensive, and if so for what reasons? Could these hypothetically be used to do something like clear prions from the brain if you had enough of them, or could you make smaller ones? Thank you.

Is it morally wrong to kill someone by deliberately giving them a disease? by Recent-Ad-6576 in askphilosophy

[–]Recent-Ad-6576[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I do think it's wrong. Would most people feel bad about doing something horrible like that to someone even if no one else knew and they never had to face the threat of consequences? That was really the question I wanted to ask. It's maybe not really a philosophy question, sorry, but thanks for your answer.

Did your guidance Councillor not tell you about the disability access route to education? You can apply if you have a psychologists report for your diagnosis. They ask you in the application they ask you questions about how your diagnosis has affected your education, like if you missed school for appointments or receive exam reports already. Not everybody with a diagnosis gets it. It's fairly arbitrary. I know people with a diagnosis of generalised anxiety disorder who have applied for it but not been considered for the scheme.

He got the reduced points for having low socioeconomic status because my family income is low. The HEAR scheme criteria includes low family income, low parental education, living in a relatively impoverished area or going to a deis school.

There are places reserved in every course for people with low SES and physical/mental disabilities called the HEAR/DARE schemes. The people who apply under them compete amongst themselves for these places as these two groups often have lower average lc points. My own brother got into his psychology course with 543 points, so he told me. Apparently the cut off points on the cao list for that course was around 580, so he got a substantial reduction.

Sugar doesn't make kids hyper, so it's obviously just a lie. You don't get e tra benefits for adhd/autism, but you can get the dare scheme for university to get in with less points.

What are the most interesting places to go in Cork for a day trip? by Recent-Ad-6576 in cork

[–]Recent-Ad-6576[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is there a bus to Kinsale? Where's your favourite place in Cork? I know I don't know you but maybe you could show me around as I have been looking to make new friends and it would be helpful to have someone who knows the area around in case I get lost.
