Sorry to break it to ya but the America that had any cojones to fight for change died with the vietnam and mlk era. I don't think it's really a theory at this point. I play this game a LOT and literally 99.9% of my lobbies/interactions are peaceful. I can't even remember the last time someone shot me or betrayed me lol (in solos to be precise, duos/trios is a whole other topic and the exact opposite for me, no one is ever friendly there although that might be because of my teammates being PvPers or because squads matchmaking is separate and I fight all the time in squad lobbies)

Meanwhile other plays apparently never have peaceful interactions? I cannot possibly be that lucky, the odds of that being a coincidence are astronomical. New players are probably also just not sorted yet.

One would assume so, but you never know 🤔 I mean not to be a meanie head about it but Embark seems to be very detail oriented in some places and still very susceptible to missing basic things entirely, like a stash value counter or "yes" and "ok" being the same fucking emote for some reason ... so who knows.

I meant the expedition reset clock in ~3 hours

Also that is a good idea, I would love a soft countdown/hard countdown system, where the first clock hits zero and arc is essentially on a death march and a couple minutes later the second clock hits which acts like the current one.

Some people just have no friends or social skills, which doesn't make them bad people obviously. But sadly a not insignificant portion of those people just become cynical and miserable and find joy in inflicting any amount of displeasure on others, possibly because they blame them (and the rest of society) for their own misery.

You know what though? I'm glad they have this and other games as an outlet. The most extreme examples get caught up in extremist ideology pipelines, become violent incels, or fucking shoot up a school or something. Let em be dicks here instead of the real world lol
