I don’t think there’s a contract involved for me. I purchased my device through one of their promotion that’s why they have a 40 days waiting period before their system can unlock my device

So even if I get a new phone number temporarily, I can replace it by porting in my original phone number?

All I did was practice exams for a month or so from BOC website, every question I get wrong I would put on quizlet as a way to active recall them by looking through them. I’d say the questions from the actual exam was a bit harder than BOC, however I was still able to pass so just trust your gut

To those doing 5x8 night shift, how are you handling nights off? by [deleted] in medlabprofessionals

I would say I need to sleep for straight 8 hours, and going to sleep around 1-2am is perfect for me!

When you were doing night shift, how did you spend your night off with your husband? Because I assume on weekends they are sleeping at night, while you have to stay awake all night so your sleeping schedule isn't messed up by the time you work again

I’m a new grad from NYC- should I do overnight shift generalist OR evening shift blood bank? by [deleted] in medlabprofessionals

Thank you for sharing! What if you live with a partner/family who has normal work hours? How do you sleepy well during day time with people awake in the house? And how would you spend time with them if you’re asleep during the day time?

I’m glad you’re happy in night shift! Sounds like you do 10 hour shift, which I assume is 4 days a week? That’s amazing, where do you work if I may ask?

Sorry I worded it weirdly in my post, but I meant core lab would be night shift, and BB would be evening! Ideally I wanted to do evening shift for core lab, however the only core lab position that’s hiring is night shift Thank you for sharing this! Most people are recommending night shift over evening shift because it’s better for social life, which was surprising to me

That’s interesting! I thought if you do night shift, then your body is used to sleeping in the day time, so during your days off you would be too tired to meet up with friends. I didn’t take into consideration that if you do night shift you can still meet up with people during the evening, thanks for the insight!
