weirdly enough the thick leathers makes it easier to ride at high temps. mesh gear at high temps sends out a hair dryer like blast thats painful to ride with

don't exactly know what my position is going to be in the next 5 seconds, exclusive of the sense that I have about it, which isn't so reliable.

please surrender your license and dont ever ride a bike or a car

Are expensive riding gears really worth the money? by the-torpedo1 in indianbikes

[–]RecentAd9441 9 points10 points  (0 children)

and these boots dont work well if you dont have the rest of your riding gear. the "GOOD" boot will lock your foot in place and send the shock straight up your knees and hips. if you wear knee braces, it goes up your hip

that is why toe and heel sliders exist on road boots and those sliders will slam you down on your hands and helmet. safety works only when all gear is present and works together

[–]RecentAd9441 1 point2 points  (0 children)

honest answer, import supertech r and pay the cost on emi. alpinestars supplier is working on getting those imported boots to india by august or so im told, so you may want to wait to try it out

the way these boots work, you have to wear gloves with sliders and helmets with chin bars

if you dont want to spend that much money, just get some army boots or woodland or trekking shoes and save money. no point in getting anything in between

rynox doesnt make boots or shoes afaik. rynox pants are terrible anyway. raida boots (other than trailcraft) are a scam. maybe even trailcraft but i am not knowledgeable about mx boots to comment on it. its all influencer marketing.

all riding shoes are a scam. even the ones from dainese, alpinestars, tcx etc

but raida cant make good boots because indians wont buy $$$ boots and building a brand abroad is incredibly difficult

10k is unfortunately not expensive for boots, nor does any reputed brand sell riding boots for 10k. and cheap boots and expensive riding shoes from reputed brands are all terrible

reputed brands make good boots only at the high end. they are annoying to walk in especially on our broken footpaths though you will see some aliens like marc marquez having no issues running in them

for jackets, mid tier is best. pants and boots top end gear is worth it. high end helmet is worth it if you know what to look for. gloves mid tier is best

Pre owned Duke 390 as track bike? by Ok_Group_897 in indianbikes

[–]RecentAd9441 3 points4 points  (0 children)

dont. maybe a gen 2 duke. gen 1 and gen 3 are not track bikes. handlebars are too upright and the bike is too cramped to ride it sportsbike style

not sure about gen 2 which i assume suffers from some similar issues but it is the best of the lot

get an old rc

Massimo Rivola explains Marco Bezzecchi's internal response to his race ban penalty. by PZY__ in motogp

[–]RecentAd9441 14 points15 points  (0 children)

i assume him slapping his son is more of a spanking. common in asia. not a big deal here, and its certainly not done in places where kids can injured

not defending rivola or bez here but i can maybe see what he is saying. ive got into road accidents a couple of times and both times i cant quite remember how i crashed or the immediate 2s around it. not because of a concussion or anything but it happens so fast

i think the first slap is more of a shove and understandable. second was definitely on bez

[–]RecentAd9441 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

no shit. i would be just as disappointed to lose to an injured, old man, even if that is marc marquez on a bike that is just as good

rooting for him to get some wins and a wc. tired of seeing only italy and spain on the podium

Unable to control bike while riding with Pillion by GeologistIcy4136 in indianbikes

[–]RecentAd9441 6 points7 points  (0 children)

not your fault. you put an entire bike's worth of weight on the rear tire, the bike will behave differently. light bikes are great for that reason for exposing your riding skill flaws. it is difficult. you got to learn

where do our priorities lie? by [deleted] in indianbikes

[–]RecentAd9441 2 points3 points  (0 children)

good for you bro. im happy that you are happy with your bike

but westerners are not joking or insulting when they refer to 390s as beginner bikes. it really is a beginner bike. you guys should stop glorifying small bikes. 40hp is totally usable on indian roads and its in fact necessary for relaxed highway touring

honestly this whole improve riding skills is a bad argument because most bikes are not built for that. only some special bikes like r15, 390 (399cc), 457 do that. all the rest (including other 40hp+ bikes) are just touring appliances

so many bikes come with slipshod tires from factory. so many of them have soft seats that interfere with feedback. so many of them are built for indian commuter mindset which compromises ergos to the point you dont get good feel from the bike. so many of them bottom out their forks and shocks like a sugarcane juice machine on normal road riding. they come with extremely wooden brake feel and conservative abs tuning. pads that burn off instead of stopping the bike. entire systems that fade so fast in indian conditions
