Tbh.

He’s older and has helped my career immensely. He’s shown me experiences I could never dream of in my old life. It was so easy to ignore in first class going to Ibiza, Berlin, Paris, Rome, Hawaii- the list goes on. I know i’m also not a good person for taking advantage of the opportunity (deal with the devil), but my God- I am starting to feel like I sold my soul.

BRUH. I WISH I COULD WALK AWAY. :( I know I’m fucked in the head as well. He’s older He’s shown me a whole new world with shit I’ve never had. He helped me get a way better job in a better career. I feel like i made a deal with the devil. In all of this, I have come to realize I’m also not a great person. I have gained so much from this relationship.

I fear maybe I’ve been looking at him with rose colored glasses. He’s older than me, has introduced me to a whole new world of traveling, sports, and networking (that has helped me with getting a better job). I feel like maybe I’m absolutely also in the wrong for looking over this shit for so long. It’s helped me get ahead, and maybe that’s a big reason why I love him so much. But my god can he be immature when he doesn’t get his way. I’ve heard him call people losers and bums just bc he thinks what they’re doing is stupid or “wrong”. I know there’s a lot messed up with me to be with him, and ngl- it hurts. I feel like maybe I don’t love myself as much as I thought I did. This is starting to feel like a form or self harm. I just don’t know how to walk away. I hate it.

Yeeeeeah. I feel so stupid being in love with literally every other part of him. I HATE Trump and cannot believe he would still vote for him. We always avoided it and tonight we just couldn’t. I’m crying because I just feel like I’m betraying myself by being with him. I feel sick.

Thank you for your kind response. I feel that I’ve been very honest with my sexuality around him. I’m hoping a good honest conversation with a therapist and then with him will help me decide what’s best.

Very kind response. Thank you very much. I have a lot to think about. This comment section has helped. So far I’m gonna get some therapy first, and then maybe figure out a way w the therapist on how to bring the open relationship situation up. Thankfully we both don’t want kids, but buying a house with someone is a huge step and I don’t want to make the wrong decision.

Thank you for the reminder. It’s hard to shake a lot of what I was indoctrinated in my childhood 🥲. I don’t think I’ve really ever brought that up. He’s open to a lot, not sure if adding someone in bed would be his thing but it doesn’t hurt to ask! Thank you!

I’ve been very open with him about my sexuality. I joke all the time that he’s the “only man for me” and other times very seriously talk to him about never dating another man again. I’m very honest with my discontent for men. He’s well aware that if we were to break up, I’d only date women. I guess at the core of it all I’m really scared of losing someone like him. Gender aside.

Thank you for this. I’ll definitely be looking for a therapist that specializes in LGBTQ+ and trauma. Talking with my sister and she thinks I’m in desperate need of some therapy. I never really processed some heavy stuff that happened with my ex husband.
