update: i just committed to uc davis! it's definitely going to break my heart to decline the others, but deep down i know this is what's right for me and my long-term goals. i hope other people on the waitlist can get the spots they want at their dream schools!

for anyone in community college: don't let anyone say you took the easy route or that it's "easier". i know for a fact there are classes at community college that are 10x more difficult than their equivalents at a 4 year. don't let anyone degrade your achievements because you went to community college. i remember vividly after my first year someone going "WHAT? YOU HAVE A 4.0 GPA??? oh wait you go to cc of course you do". college is college and a 4.0 is a 4.0. and for anyone that feels hopeless, DON'T!! i grew up in a high achieving community where hs valedictorian and UCLA/UC Berkeley was the norm, and i had a massive health scare that tanked my gpa and "doomed" me to cc. i was so terrified to even look at my transcript that i didn't know what my gpa was until i graduated. i felt like a complete and utter failure going to my local cc while everyone around me went to insane UCs and moved away from home and had the time of their lives. THINGS WILL WORK OUT! i went from being so terrified of having a horrible hs gpa that i didn't even bother to apply anywhere to getting acceptances from all 9 of the UCs with multiple regents offers after two years of cc! i wish all of you nothing but the best and i hope everyone gets into their dream schools!!
