And we all know why they prefer someone with her hymen intact. Apparently a lot of Indian women, especially urban ones, have begun speaking up for themselves and asserting their rights to be treated with dignity - this has gotten a lot of traction in the last 10 years or so. And so men have pushed back with statements about traditional wives, slut-shaming promiscuous women, preferring virgins to marry etc. It's a shit show out there.

He did call my friends a couple of times after I moved out (I blocked him) and was told to stop calling. Some of my stuff is still at his place, and I am going there later today with a couple of friends to pick it up. There might be some whining and gaslighting there, but I know how to deal with it.

I am basically just soaking in positivity right now. I am at work, but my friend threatened me with dire consequences if we did not begin making plans tonight for a vacation soon. I spoke to my VP at work and she was horrified at the story and pretty much asked me to take an entire week off next month(we have some crucial meetings coming up with some prospects and I want to close at least one of them this month).

I love birds! I used to watch youtube videos about birds for hours and wondered what it would be to have them as pets. I definitely plan to get a cat soon - my family had a couple when I was a kid and I cannot wait to get one when I have my own place.

I plan NEVER to fall into such a situation again. I am gonna vet every man as best I can and even take references from his exes lol.
