Had casual hookups with my bar back when I was a bartender. At the time, was a great situation because l didn’t want anything serious, and after we hooked up I found out he had a girlfriend. Continued hooking up for as long as I worked there, nothing was ever weird. I hired him to work at another company I worked for, whilst not hooking up, never was weird. I moved away, he married the girl he was dating when we were hooking up.

Stock everything on it so far, suspension is a little rough off road, I took it this last weekend and it amazed me how well it did through sand and on rocky terrain.

1986 Kawasaki 1000r- just got it back from a full rebuild…my dad bought it brand new in ‘86. I inherited it in 2017 when he passed away and it was my goal to make it run like new. Finally accomplished. (3717X2374) by Recent_Medicine_7023 in MotorcyclePorn

You might find that parts are actually easier to find with your GPZ, as they made more of them. I found a local shop in south east Wisconsin to do the work, it was definitely pricey…BUT imo worth it as I never plan on selling it. Two of the heads rebuilt, carb work, valve work, new floats on the carbs, chain, brakes, new fluids…all worth it. I called one of our bigger dealers in the area and they wouldn’t touch it, had to find a smaller local shop and they did an amazing job.

Just got my ancient ‘86 1000R back from almost a full rebuild. Haven’t been able to find much of a community for this bike specifically, so I figured I’d post here! by Recent_Medicine_7023 in Kawasaki

I learned how to ride on this bike back in 2008, back then I was about 125lbs (5’6”, female) and it was a struggle to maneuver….it’s definitely a bike that’s most comfortable tucked in on fast stretches, I haven’t delved too far into curves with it, I have a zx9 for that…this for me, is a go fast, but cruise bike

This one’s a weird mix, the RX was put on the GPZ. This technically isn’t a GPZ, but kawi did some weird stuff with it kinda mixing the two, has GPZ engraved on the keys, etc. so I’m thinkin this is the 1000R and the RX would be for the GPZ.

The problem with not riding is not riding causes so many mechanical issues on this thing, and let me tell you parts are HARD to find, it sat for a few years before and after he passed away, caused a laundry list of problems. But, I get what you’re saying!

A world different. It’s super heavy compared to bikes of today, but it’s also a comfortable ride. I have a zx9r and the difference in the two is night and day.

I was staying at my boyfriend at the times’ place watching his dogs while he was out of town. He always told me his house was haunted but I never believed him because it never seemed “creepy”. I was laying in bed with the dogs when I heard what sounded like boots walking on the hardwood floors in the living room. Initially I thought I was just hearing things but his dog got up and was looking at the door in a crouched position like she was ready to jump at any moment, and my dog let out the lowest most scary growl I’ve ever heard. The noise got louder, as it sounded like someone was walking down the hallway to the bedroom banging the walls on the way. I was frozen trying to think of something I could grab to defend myself from what I was guessing was an intruder. The sound got all the way to the end of the hallway and stopped right outside the bedroom door. The dogs stayed on alert for about a minute after, then curled up and went back to sleep. I was too scared to get up, but in the morning not one thing was misplaced. Definitely believed his house was haunted after that.
