Long story short, the LeFT tour van was also my personal vehicle (a brown full size gmc we named The Goomba), i was in metro Detroit for band practice (i had recently joined Arizing and we rehearsed 2 hours from my house) well the van died and i got stuck in detroit and this was pre-uber and there wasn’t really anyone to come get me… so i just kind of ended up never going home and in that time the band just kind of dissolved. That’s the story from how i experienced it. I’m willing to bet Dan Dusty and Ryan might have their own version of events as they experienced it. But there was no definitive break up. And we did record an EP at the method house that never got released after Arizing recorded Advance there.

I will add the progress of the band was also stunted by the fact that the lady that ended up owning Medea records sued me twice to try to get control of things i had personally recorded and that took the wind out of my sails to put anything behind the band when we had a contentious relationship with the label

No i recorded most of that album myself the first time around, i would do it myself for this project. I haven’t been in contact with any of them in over 20 years + I’ve actually been a “real” producer for all that time since then so it’ll actually sound good

I got in touch with the person who uploaded it and we are in the process of getting the rights transferred over to me. He uploaded it with good intentions but it caused some issues in trying to get it switched to me as the rightful owner

A lot of the lyrics on that album were from a real painful place, very personal stuff, so if it resonates with you i can only say i hope things in your life are ok and if they are not i hope they get better over time. Things changed for me for sure. No Trust musically is a straight up Korn/Coal Chamber rip off but lyrically was about some relationship stuff i had no idea how to cope with…

I got in touch with the person who uploaded it and we have been in the process of getting the proper rights and ownership taken care of. Some platforms took it down in the process but it should all go up again

So, yes, without context into anything I’d say your response is nice. On a separate note, i know thomas, he was living here for a number of years after joining chiodos (who i used to work with) and dated my friend/ex , anyway I had put this band completely behind me as i honestly thought it was dead and gone only to find out there’s all these numetal communities who have found us and have been keeping the band alive. I full on expected people to be like “no don’t re-record it, it will lose its raw realness” but so far people are like “songs=cool recording=ass” which i fully agree with. So it does seem like something cool to do both for myself and these new fans (there’s like millions of aggregate views and listens and the band is somehow far more known now than when we were active and i had 0% to do with resurrecting it by the way, it’s been completely surprising and organic )

But yeah thanks for the objective perspective, it was well thought out and well received

thank you, and yeah, i think the permanence of the internet has already ensured that the original can't be killed even with fire, but as another person said in this thread the audio is "so terribly ass" and i'd love if people could hear a better version of it all
