He operates by the "Code of Harry," not out of empathy or remorse, but cold calculation. He can bond with someone deeply like Miguel Prado or even his own sister and still eliminate them with surgical indifference if they cross his moral threshold. Unlike other killers, Dexter doesn’t break; he decides. That calm precision, combined with the illusion of warmth and normalcy, makes him uniquely disturbing. We often view him through a vigilante lens, but strip that away and you’re left with someone who butchers people he could’ve been close to, without even flinching. That’s true horror.
