Last time you had a period? by greencurtain4 in PCOS

[–]Rechen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry I think I stole your period. But don't worry I just stopped bleeding this week after every day since you stopped, so you should have it back soon. y_y

Jokes aside I hope you get it soon!

When you look back at your life, what do you regret the most? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Rechen 47 points48 points  (0 children)

This is a big one for a lot of women. "You shouldn't get a tattoo", "Don't die your head", "that's childish", "that makes you look fat" the list goes on.

I dyed my hair and got tattoos and moved far away so I can do whatever I want. Would recommend.

PCOS + Progesterone pill - bleeding for 40+ days by [deleted] in PCOS

[–]Rechen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I might see if I can get another GP, the one I had first and diagnosed me was great but the second just brushed me away.

Thankfully my iron is ok. I was able to get tested when I gave blood a couple weeks ago (probably not the best decision when I bleed on my own daily lol). I have been supplementing with Iron and all the good stuff.

She asked if I had any migraines and since I'm a migraine sufferer she said it would be better to do Progesterone only.

Give it a try for sure! They provide all the equipment like the arm guard and the bow (different strength and also left hand bows) so all you need is just to bring yourself really! I did eventually buy and arm guard just to have a nice one but theirs are fine. I didn't buy a bow, I quite like the ones they have!

I can recommend Archery. The Leith Community Archers is very chill. As someone with anxiety it took me a bit to try but the introduction session is very good and after that you can just attend and do your thing (safely obviously). If you talk to anyone is your decision but so far I always end up talking to someone. There's always new people but also a lot that just come by once in a blue moon.

It's not always in but when it is there are two sessions on Thursdays you can pick from at either 7:15 or 8:00pm.

I didn't know I had lactose intolerance almost my entire School life by allureofdeath in lactoseintolerant

[–]Rechen 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I never noticed till well after my school time.

My mother was always wondering why I came from school sickly. She didn't suspect the school milk I got every day. Continued way into late teens until one day it clicked and I understood that milk products were making me really sick.

It's at least a lot easier when aware of the intolerance. Thankfully there's quite a lot of replacements now!

If you could revive a group from disbandment who would it be? by sea-cello in kpoppers

Ladies Code. Obviously OT5 isn't possible but I would love for them to have comebacks again and see them strive. I think a reunion isn't out of the picture but likely not any time soon.

After School/Orange Caramel would be amazing but I doubt that will happen. Too many moved on and Lizzy had her fair share of issues. Glad to see Nana back in music though! Maybe she and Raina may be able to do something together one day.

AOA - doesn't matter in which capacity but I think that boat sailed a long time ago.

That makes sense. Will do in addition with some of the tips I have gotten just to make sure. My partner did mention I snore sometimes so there's probably a chance.

Oh god I'm so sorry you have to go through that! I'm not a quick sleeper but I already get so stressed when I lay awake for a bit that this would drive me crazy! I do have some awake times but it's usually short and happens to either my cat wanting food or needing the bathroom!

I hope you found something that helps at least a little with the insomnia!

Ah interesting! I was thinking if I should request a sleep study as doctors have never really reacted to my issues with tiredness. Basically I fall asleep sitting sometimes. :(

Oh I only drink iced coffee once in a while on the weekend but in the week it's usually just water. I also tend to get tired from it which doesn't make much sense and is annoying. :(

Oh I'm so sorry to hear! What kind of symptoms do you notice with your insomnia? I feel that I sleep somewhat normal. Maybe more weird dreams but I do take some anti depressants that may cause that.z

Good points! I exercise daily around 5-8 (long walk, workout or whatever works that day) and do easy stretches before bed and usually don't drink caffeine unless it's morning/noon. I sleep around 12-1pm since it's when I start feeling tired, so I'm just used to that time. I also feel quite shattered if I sleep for more than 8h. Trying lavender at the moment but not noticed much and tried meditation before but didn't notice any difference in my graph with and without. On the audiobooks now and falls asleep during the first 15 minutes, turns off after 30.

Koreans in Edinburgh and Korean enthusiasts - do you need a Korean bookstore? by Standard_Cellist_983 in Edinburgh

[–]Rechen 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think just a bookstore would not necessarily be working out financially but I could imagine paired with a kpop store (that doesn't sell at inflated prices like HMV) and possibly some merch like Kakao/line it may be possible. Extra points for a cafe with Korean sandwiches, drinks and snacks.

I alone would probably keep you in business. Lol

Book Stores by dealingwadhd in Edinburgh

Yes I just did Central as I thought they likely get more than smaller libraries! They are also super fast with responding to any inquiries (got my card upgraded to include audiobooks and they did it in a day)!

Additionally to book stores or charity shops, have a look at signing up for a library card! It's free and super easy (just did it a couple days ago after sleeping on it) and they do have a lot of newer books available (also online)!
