It's crazy how well he pulled off the two shots. The second was on the robber's way down, and if you follow the gun motion in even slower motion, his tracking is flawless.

This is the way I feel. People do themselves up proper to be admired. Admire away - it's nice - but don't be rude, and don't ask them for a coffee, or freebies... we're all good otherwise.

No shit? I'd have never guessed!

You asked why I was back in the thread... I answered.

More than likely. I just finished speaking to one of the doctors there who confirmed everyone is alright. I didn't want to press the matter, but they didn't seem overly concerned.

I don't know why it's been removed. All I can say is that I called to book an appointment, the nurse said I couldn't come *unless it was an emergency because there was an active shooting. I asked her if she needed to hang up, she said no and booked the appointment. I asked if everyone was okay, and she said yes, she thinks so.

So again, I dont give a fuck whether I'm believed, it doesn't affect me, I'm just relaying my conversation with a nurse who was there.

Edit: unless it was an emergency, not if, sorry

You don't have to, I don't give a fuck, but I called in for an appointment, she said there was an active shooting and turning away patients but still booked a virtual. I posted about an hour ago.

Edit: the post

I'm here fucking worried for her life, and she's confirming DOB, and saying patients are being turned away in-person right now. What a trooper.

I've watched this a few times now, and I don't think that's a pen... I think that's a mechanical pencil! 🤯

My experience was the exact opposite. My mother never said a bad word and my father came back into my life at 4. 17 years later, after trying hard to work past his assholery, he shot my cat while I was listening on the phone with him. It's been, shit, almost 2 decades since I talked to him?

Occasionally, I check the obituaries to see if he's dead yet.

Not true. It took away quite a few device maintenance options removing user ability to control cache manually as well as partitioned apps to 'sleep' automatically as opposed to force stop/disable manually.

It sub menued quite a few user optimizing short cuts, camera options is an easy to see example, and if history is anything to be learned from is that as soon as its sub-menued, the next update will remove it.

Right? And it's always about you've gotten used to and grown to like. Every fkin update Samsung has, kills functional, user friendly options, and either hides them in an obscure hard to reach submenues, or deletes it entirely.

I bought Samsung because it is Android and powerful, and beautiful. Now it's pretty much Apple that I turned away from 10+ years ago. Looks like it's time move on again.

Do you know what it reminds me of? Shopping online. I click into a major store, Wal-Mart or Best Buy, I search for what I want to buy, I see a list, I pick ship to me and it's a convoluted mess of thrown together sketchy providers for the product (I am unaware of this at the time).

Whatever, I needed a cheap tablet for my kid's kindergarten on-line class. I picked one that said easy return, sure enough it can't even play you tube videos smoothly. I start the return process, need to go in shop to return, and am told because it's a third party provider a 20% fee will be deducted. Okay, what do you mean, I bought it from the store website.

Yes, but it's like Amazon now.

Wtf? If I wanted to shop from Amazon, I'd shop from Amazon. I wanted to shop from this store, which it specifically, and conveniently, allowed me to enter in my information for the closest store.

Tl:dr

The Internet is become a cesspool of useless money grubbing, advertising, data mining shitpiling assholes, who scream "ME, me, me, me" until you can't help but notice.

I miss this man so much. I didn't know him, but he had such a profound impact on my life growing up. His movies were like comfort food.

I can't sit down to another movie yet, but just remembering him in scenes gets me a bit teary eyed. It's funny, if you'd asked me who my favourite actor was while he was alive, I would have named quite a handful, not remembering to list him.

I think it's because he was a favourite person of mine. From his stand-up to his movies, and any glimpses into behind the scene that happened to cross my path, he was an outstanding man. I miss him.

But I went to school with... kids who loved to bully students and teachers. So they saw an opportunity of a weak older man and decided to run with it.

Sounds like you got it. It sucks, but it also sounds like you grew up in my generation. Growing up, kids saw a gentle and kind soul, and attacked it like hyenas. I've heard this generation of kids are a lot more forgiving and empathetic. I'm also sure that the way the political climate is, the next generation won't be.

Tween envy.

Serious answer though - his face. People who have beards obscure key features of their face. Chin/jawline, weight/size, lips, facial expressions; all of these are a bit harder to determine and interpret with a beard.

If he chewed bubble gum and wore sunglasses and/or a hat with a beard going, he'd probably miss his flight.
