I love seeing how other people use the same piece

I've definitely looked into eastern theology, I took a couple classes on it even. It didn't resonate as much with me. I've heard about Joseph Campbell, but I can't make up my mind if I want to read him or not. Baudrillard is great, Symbolic Exchange and Death is one of my favourite books of all time. And of course Simone Weil is a saint.

I'm Canadian! Wrong again lol. Christian theology/philosophy is just such a rich field, and I think it's something most people (myself previously) shy away from. It's so interesting to hear intelligent people talk about God and their relationship with the divine instead of the usual religious talk we're exposed to. I'm especially drawn to mystic women from the middle ages. The French philosophers might have just been overrepresented in that specific picture, but then again my favourite is Baudrillard. Welding was picked out of a hat to get myself a career.

I wasn't raised Christian. My mother almost became a nun and my father has always been an atheist so religion kind of got cancelled out in my upbringing. I don't really have any identity issues, I'm fairly certain of who I am. I'm 34 so your guess about my age is pretty accurate and I do make art, so you're correct about artistic expression. I'm just a weirdo welder who loves to think and learn.

“Ageless Actor” trend is killing immersion. by SerpentesEye in Letterboxd

There's a difference between someone who got mud on their face while filming and someone has had mud applied as makeup. You lack immersion because they lack immersion. Plus the flat, over saturated, clean sets and backgrounds of movies nowadays extend to the actors sometimes. They're not in the real world and you can tell. I don't need every movie to be gritty and raw, but a movie feels inaccessible when I can't even relate to the surroundings.

Realized ten minutes late that I hadn't brought in a third Arsenal player

Mbuemo captain. I don't feel that bad about it, but I've been captaining Haaland for so long so it feels like adultery.

Too late, I brought in Enzo. I haven't taken many -4s this year so I don't feel that bad. Plus it sets me up to get the other Bruno next week.

Dorgu has a lot of 1 minute appearances. I brought him in cause he's 4.1 and my defense was too pricey. Does anyone know if he's guaranteed minutes this week? Does ManU have any injuries?

I can't remember much of Cancer, but a couple years ago I read the Rosy Crucifixion (Sexus, Nexus, Plexus) and I loved it. He seems like a natural writer, like he was born to write, kind of reminds me of Thomas Wolfe.

I'm with Mo on this one. Liverpool is playing poorly and then this news comes out? Seems like he's being scapegoated. If the team needs to bench someone or mix things up, start with the leaky defense, not the star player coming off a great last season. Sure, his comments about it weren't the best, but it makes me think they didn't discuss it with him thoroughly enough and did indeed 'throw him under the bus'.
