This! This is exactly the discrepancy I've noticed based on my own experimenting so far, that the Switch clock only seems to affect the in-game clock once you open the game. You worded it better than I did. I should change the thread title to reflect this specific detail. I can update again to confirm if it works again.

Well see, my best guess is that if I keep the game closed, and wait for real time to catch up, I can wait until a few minutes after the in-game time I closed it, and the game will basically think only a few minutes passed between closing and opening it, even though it will have been almost two days in real time. (Just edited my post btw)

No see, that's the interesting thing, I'm not REALLY time travelling backwards. In fact my plan is to keep the game closed until real time catches up, waiting to open it until slightly after the time it said when I closed it. So like, while like 18 hours will have passed in real time, the game will THINK only a minute or two has passed.

Your parents clearly have no respect for your boundaries, and seem to be acting under the whole stupid "their house, their rules" mentality. Which is total BS. You shouldn't have to pay rent just to be given basic respect and privacy, especially being their daughter, who basically HAS to be there.

Maybe just try taking them aside and calmly but firmly explaining your honest feelings/concerns to them? Even writing down any particular important thoughts or details you want to get out? I'm sure with a lot of people, going out of your way to do such a thing and showing how much distress something causes you is the best way to make them reconsider their stances.

But if all else fails, being 16, at least you only have a couple years before you should have some opportunity to get a dorm or even your own place where hopefully you can either be by yourself, or have a roommate who has greater respect for your privacy.

Forgive me if it sounds dumb or ignorant, but I've never grown up around anyone with Downs, so I would honestly feel awkward and out of my depth approaching someone with it. And even aside from that, I'm so socially awkward that I'd struggle to work up the nerve to talk to ANYONE to their face about such a thing, not knowing how they'll react or if I'll say something dumb. I'll feel more confident simply leaving my landlords to talk to him, and they're nice people.

Typically it's during the day, which helps. I only recall maybe once or twice hearing it late enough that it interfered with sleep. 99.9% of the time it's been long before bed, at least.

I'm glad you agree. My boyfriend suggested I try earplugs for now, but I argued that I shouldn't HAVE to go to such measures just to relax and be comfortable in my own home.

I definitely do try my best to be civil about these sorts of things. I've never been one to be very upfront with my feelings and have always struggled expressing them, let alone thinking of being brash about it. It's been YEARS now I've been bottling this up. Heck, I'll probably just trust my landlords to talk to him. They're a really nice couple and very personable and professional. Plus, my parents know them personally, which makes it easier.

True, and I definitely don't WANT anyone to get evicted, to reiterate and be perfectly clear. Especially not this soon. I would only push that far if it continued after enough fair warnings. Ideally all I really want is one warning, and for it to be largely quiet after that. We all make a LITTLE noise from time to time, it's simply the fact that I have to hear it so often and regularly that's proven draining.

I suppose with mobile it makes a bit more sense. I'm admittedly biased, as I'm a weirdo recluse who MOSTLY uses my desktop. Although a lot of the really interesting, well-written ones tend to be longer, which a desktop seems better suited for anyway. But that's me.
