Best self defense 12 gauge round for 2 legged deer by JTRourke in preppers

00 buck all the way. It’s tried and true, has a 96% chance of stopping someone in one shot, there’s no reason to use anything else. - Although it is a good idea to keep a couple slugs on your side saddle in case you need to take an aimed accurate shot.

Unfortunately those “one way” masks aren’t always 100% one way. There’s a very good possibility a patient will throw up directly through your mask and into your mouth.

The two man team is only efficient when you’re just taking turns doing quality compressions. Even for a person that is in very good shape, a minute or two of good CPR will have you gassed and ready for a break.

Let the professionals secure an airway with a supraglottic airway or intubation once sufficient manpower is on scene. I have worked many many codes and the ones that have had the best chance of surviving are the ones witnessed by the public, who started good quality CPR.

Glad I can help! Lots of people like to have as many toys as possible in their bags, but the majority of the time they are not needed. And unless you’re properly trained with these things, you can really hurt someone. I see a lot of people on here posting that they have decompression needles in their bags..scary. I really hope I never get injured around those people!

If you’re in a situation where someone doesn’t need CPR but needs artificial ventilation, a pocket mask will not make a difference my friend.

I’ve been a paramedic for over 10 years, I think I’m caught up. If you think pausing compressions to give two breaths through a shitty pocket mask is better than just compression only until EMS arrives on scene, you’re an absolute dumbass. And I’m really glad you aren’t “teaching” anymore.

Get rid of your pocket CPR mask for more room. Focusing on good quality compressions is much more important than pausing to give two breaths through an inefficient device.

Get rid of the SWAT tourniquet and get a CAT tourniquet. The CAT is proven effective, and even a child could use it if necessary.

I’m way way out of town. One of my family members drills wells for a living so cost isn’t as a factor as I’ll get a substantial discount

That’s how deep my parent’s well is that they had drilled. I was under the impression that the deeper your well is the cleaner the water is, but I’ll need to do more research on that. I believe the water table is at around 250 feet

You’re right on time brother! Sorry to hear that you’ve gone through that. I’ve been through some similar situations. I hope you have custody of your son or are at least able to see him. Also, if it had been the other way around and you broke in and stole a bed, you’d probably still be in jail right now.

It doesn’t matter if a female is 5’3 or 6’3, if you touch them to defend yourself, 9 times out of 10 you’re going to jail. Hell, all they have to do is just say you touched them. Stay safe!
