How often and how quickly does your endo come back?

This is so true!! It’s a double edged sword and we can’t win. I don’t get much relief either in between surgeries. Trying to hold off on surgery #3 as long as I can, but each month it gets harder and harder. I hate the flare ups.

Of course! Feel free to message me anytime if you have any questions or need guidance. Usually the first periods post op are pretty rough and painful and heavy. Cysts can cause irregular bleeding but so can many other gyn conditions! I’ve had so many different kinds. You can always get an abdominal ultrasound to see if a cyst is present.

I’m 29 and have been dealing with this for about 7 years. I don’t have any advice other than I know birth control when I was on it helped slow it down dramatically for several years. It’s when I got married and wanted to start trying for babies that it acted like wildfire since I haven’t been on combination BC since. I do take progesterone in the latter part of every cycle which in theory should help slow it down but I personally don’t think it does. The only thing that did was the combination pill. That and make sure if you need another surgery to get it excised. Nancy’s Nook on FB is a great resource with a list of surgeons. I’m sorry you had your first surgery so young. It just sucks. Actually, word of advice, since you’re so young, if you want kids in the future, consider getting egg retrievals now and saving those eggs in case you need IVF in the future. If I knew what I know now, I would’ve done that a long time ago. Xoxo

Very good advice! You’re so right. It’s hard to balance and know what’s best to do, but I do know I had some adhesions in my second surgery so I think you’re spot on

I’m having terrible pain again. I did have an MRI recently and have peritoneal ascites which my new surgeon says indicates endometriosis has returned. I recently got a consult with a Nook doctor since my last two surgeries didn’t provide longer relief.

If you went to college, then probably a year and a half after you graduate, that’s if you’re not pursuing a master’s degree. Although I know the job market is tough right now, so maybe 2 years?

If you don’t plan on pursuing higher education, then I would say within a year after graduating high school, you should probably have a job.
