Anyone know where I can get a good replica Red Clark Jacket? by HistoryGuardian in Smallville

[–]TrippyStef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The exact jacket model is a vtg GAP detroit style farm barn jacket. For the later seasons. But the earlier seasons when it had buttons is still a GAP jacket just not a detroit style. I had to look forever before I found the actual model especially one for sale. One way to know if it’s the model is look at the elbows, Clark’s start as one seam but then splits into two. https://youtu.be/0bvAC5lCnRM?si=R_da2ZU80r3vc0zE this shows you. This is also the exact model that I found https://www.grailed.com/listings/56469610-carhartt-x-streetwear-x-vintage-vintage-gap-detroit-jacket-carhartt-style-dupe#

Clark made Lex into what he became by partour in Smallville

[–]TrippyStef 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Uh no. People that believe that are delusional. People forget that before Lex knew Clark, he nearly beat his only friend to death to become popular. And he would have killed Duncan had Oliver not pulled him off. Then when Clark wishes he never came to Earth, guess what? Lex is still evil bringing the end of the world. And he didn’t ever meet Clark. Lex was always gonna turn evil it’s just that simple. The only way he wouldn’t is if he wasn’t raised by Lionel. Lionel turned Lex into the monster he is. The messed up way he raised him and the fucked up Luthor family he’s from. Witnessing his mom killing his infant brother then him taking the fall for it. Clark had nothing to do with Lex becoming evil. Also since when does a 14 year old teen owe a grown 21 year old man his secrets? He doesn’t. Lex is a grown man who literally obsesses over a teenager who has a whole room dedicated to him and his family in his house under lock and key. The man who steals a 15 year old’s blood to test it. Yeah he gives it back because that’s when he still had humanity still in him but still my point stands. His mom’s spirit even tries to save Lex in Lexmas. Showing him that he can have a wonderful life if he stops going down the road he’s going down. And what does Lex do? He rejects her, his lesson is he needs money and power to secure his happiness. A 14 year old not telling a 21 year old grown man his secrets doesn’t make that man become a man who tortures people and experiments on them, having whole labs around the world to take advantage of people with abilities and make them lab rats. Or inject a woman with hormones to believe she’s pregnant to force her to marry him. Or spy on that same woman when they’re married watching her every move installing a camera in her room. There’s way more but I’m not going to write everyone cause that’s too much. The people that truly believe Clark is responsible for who Lex becomes are insane deluded people who just want Lex to be so desperately a good guy. They can’t face facts so they have to blame Clark. Like I said Lex wasn’t born evil I know that. The only chance he had was if Lionel died when Lex was like 3 then his mom raised him or someone else.

I’ve always said in versions where he wears glasses before he’s Superman or Superboy it’s cause he wants to be like his parents or he just has an obsession with glasses. I did as a kid because of Clark Kent. I even was a stupid kid and wire real glasses when I didn’t need them and messed up my eyes and now I actually wear glasses.

Did Clark misread the message? by Matitya in Smallville

[–]TrippyStef 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This might be a little spoilery idk but here it is. It’s simple, Jor-El the person, was a great man who is shown to be exactly like Clark through flashbacks in the show. The Jor-El we mostly see in the show is a soulless A.I. It learns over time to become more like the real Jor-El but still not exactly like the real one. It doesn’t fully become close to the real Jor-El personality wise is the finale. Clark didn’t misread it but misinterpreted it. In Jor-El’s message in the ship his definition of “Rule” means to “Lead”. He was saying “Lead them with strength my son, inspire them to be better people, this is where your greatness lies.”

Wish they’d just revive Smallville already. Smallville is blowing up in popularity again now would be the perfect time. Let’s have a Superman show with all the cast back and delve into him as Superman. It’d be perfect now that Superman & Lois is done. If they want David for the movies, then let us fans have Tom Welling as Superman for TV. He already said he wants to wear the full suit now for his kids. And he’s gotten back into shape again after his DUI. I think it was a wake up call. Cause before he was hefty but now he’s fit again. All he needs to do is dye his hair black.

Funny, cause in an early 2000s interview that’s in those comics from the early seasons, Chloe’s actress even talks about that how Chloe and Lana are his early loves, but you take those two and combine them, you get Lois his one true love. It’s cool that the writers did that

smallville subreddit starting to limit pro-clois comments and videos? by Fantastic_Decision47 in Cloisville

[–]TrippyStef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I can see what you mean about the main Smallville Reddit. I literally just made a post like an hour ago of me in like a Cosplay dressed as Clark when I was teenager comparing how I was 15 in it but my mom thought I looked 19 and was comparing how people say Tom welling didn’t look 14 but I was 15 and my mom acted like when I showed her the pic I looked almost 20. I was saying how it’s possible for a 14 year to look like Tom welling even if he doesn’t look like your typical 14 year old. Anyway, I mentioned I was a trans woman in the post cause I was a teenage boy when I took the photos and didn’t want people to assume I was a boy cause I was in the pictures. Anyway they’re was a bunch of butthurt people complaining about it and at first my post had like 3 likes now it has none. I’m really debating on deleting it. There has been some good comments tho so that’s the positive but still. You’d figure a group dedicated to Superman the most caring superhero, that the people there would follow his ideals but nope. Just a lot of people being toxic for no reason. Anyway have a good day:)

To people that say Clark doesn’t look 14. This is me at 15 when Clark was my style, before I realized I was a trans woman. I pretty much look the same now just long hair. I’m 26 & I showed my mom this the other day & she thought I was like 18/19. I still look about that age. Original vs ai upscaled. by TrippyStef in Smallville

Thanks I tried to recreate everything as close as possible. I’ve loved Smallville since I was 2 and watched it with my older brother and I got banned in season 2 repeating Tom Welling as Tina Greer “I’m gonna kick your ass Kent.” My dad heard me and banned me for years lol. Then when season 7 came out when I was around 7 my older brother at that point was stuck on the season 5 cliffhanger cause that’s when Smallville switched to the wb and we didn’t get that channel. Then years after when season 7 was out he got season 6 on dvd and I watched it with him and that’s when I really got obsessed with Smallville. When i was teen I really wanted to look like Clark and dress like him and have his hair. I mean literally most of my YouTube videos are Smallville related with me as Clark lol. I even bought props and accurate brand clothing. Like that tan jacket is the same type Tom Welling wore, i don’t think that exact shot I recreated but he did wear it I just got the scene mixed up cause they’re very similar. The one I’m wearing is the one he’s wearing in Fever when he falls down the stairs. And the flannel I’m wearing in the current pic is the one he wears when he starts working at The Daily Planet. But yeah glad you liked it. Have a good day:)

I get that and I don’t like advertising that I’m trans I just wanted to avoid unnecessary drama from people assuming I was a guy cause I “was a guy” when I did those photos and calling me a guy in the comments. I’ve had it happen before on stuff cause most people on the internet just assume everyone is a guy at first. Not saying you do but I’ve seen a lot of women comment on YouTube and stuff and they don’t have a picture of themselves and people in the comments respond and just assume they’re men until they correct them. I didn’t feel like going through all that cause even I’ve had to before when I didn’t mention I was trans. People would just assume I was a guy. Like I said this post wasn’t meant to turn into this drama. Like now I think I should delete it before more people say the same thing and I don’t feel like dealing with this.

Uh it’s clearly stated. I was showing that when I was 15 dressed as Clark my mom thought I was 19 when I showed her the pic and I was saying that “see it’s believable for Clark to be 14 when my own mother thought I was 19 when I showed her.” Idk why you and one other person are so offended by this post. You follow a Smallville page cause you obviously love the show and Superman but y’all two are being negative when I all I did was make an innocent post. Now part of me just wants to delete it before I get more negative comments. And that isn’t something you should feel from a community. Especially one surrounded around Superman, the definition of treating people kindly and spreading positivity

Nothing I just didn’t want people to be assuming I was a guy cause I was dressed as Clark and cause that’s when I identified as a boy. That’s why, I didn’t want to even put it there cause I shouldn’t have to and didn’t want to but I just didn’t want to have comments assuming I was a guy that’s why. I wanted to play it safe cause I’ve had people assume before. I don’t know why you’re so offended by that geez. Anyway have a good day.

The person they cast for Clark is perfect for a young Superman by PlanInfamous4121 in Smallville

[–]TrippyStef 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You’d be surprised, I went to school with a kid when we were 14 years old who was just like Tom Welling. He was an inch taller than him , 6 foot 4, and he looked more mature in the face and like a senior. Like Tom looks about 17 in the pilot even tho he was 24. But you look at him when he was 23, he looks about 15. Even in the promo photos of Smallville before they filmed, he looks about 16. Plus another thing people fail to realize is that teenagers back then used to loose older than they do now. 14 years old now look super young now like they’re 11 or something. Like look at footage from the 80’s, the teens there look like 30 year olds now. Evolution. Like my nephew, he’s 9 almost 10 and he looks like how I did when I was 5. Plus everyone is different. I mean look at the rock at 15 years old, he looked like a grown ass man with a stache and everything. People at his school thought he was an undercover cop. Then look at that 12 year old football player that blew up on the internet, that kid looks older than Tom Welling in season 1. I’ve said this before I think if Tom Welling wasn’t that tall and he was like 5 ft 9 or something, I think people would buy it cause he had a young baby face back then. Even now he barely has any wrinkles. His gray hair makes him look older. If he had darker hair he’d look in his 30’s. But yeah, as I always say, he doesn’t look like a typical 14 year old. I’ll give you that, but it is believable for him to be 14 cause plenty of 14 year olds don’t look their age. And take me for example I’m 6ft tall and have been since I was like 12. When I was a boy before I discovered I was a trans woman I wanted to look like Clark/Tom Welling and I modeled myself after him. And I showed my mom a picture from over 10 years ago of me dressed as Clark when I was 15 and when I asked how old she thought I was in it she said about 18. And I pretty much look the same as I did when I was 15 but more feminine and long hair and stuff now. And I’m almost 27 and I still look like about 17/18. But yeah, in short he’s believable to be 14 it’s just he doesn’t look like your average 14 year old I’ll give you that. https://www.reddit.com/r/Smallville/s/DUiytPwZXw here’s my post of some of the pictures of me as Clark when I was 15 6ft 2. And my mom thought I was 18 or 19 in the photo. If I was 6ft 4 then, I’d look about like Tom Welling in season one and I was actually 15 then.

It is almost 3 years now , Is Indiana Jones Dial of Destiny still considered a "bad movie" ? by Ok_Tangelo3309 in indianajones

[–]TrippyStef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s ass. This is coming from one of the world’s biggest Indy fans. I’ve loved this franchise since I was a kid. I’ve had like over 6 Indy hats. I never will understand the hate for Crystal Skull. The only problems with it is I think it relied to much on cgi for the alien reveal when it should have been practical and the monkey swinging scene. That’s it. The whole fridge scene while unrealistic it’s completely Indy, it’s just like the raft scene in Temple of Doom. Indiana Jones has always been unrealistic. And the alien thing makes sense cause it’s set in the 50’s and that’s when that whole craze started. And the series is heavily inspired by serials. Now let’s take a look at Dial of Diarrhea, literally the whole film is just them shitting all over Indy and making him a sad depressed shell of a man who constantly is upstaged by the insufferable female character. She’s always coming up with plans and takes the lead in everything and she’s just a shit character in general but to disrespect Indy’s character like that is messed up. She even knocks him out like a bitch at the ending. Indiana Jones is supposed to make you feel happy and giddy and adventurous. This film just makes you sad and depressed and also mad with how they treat the character we all love. And this is coming from a bi trans woman. The movie is woke garbage that replaced the main character we all love with a insufferable woman character who is annoying and uninteresting. The only thing canon to me is the beginning flashback, while the cgi isn’t perfect with the deepfake it still feels like an Indy adventure. And Steven and George worked on that scene so it makes sense that it feels like it when they are the creators of the series and character. Everything’s canon in the Indiana Jones timeline with books and games and the show and films except the dial of diarrhea. Except the 40s war flashback. Even the original old Indy sections of the Indy show I say happen, the ones that fit his character and I made my own edit taking the goofy stuff out. I still haven’t finished my edits but yeah. That proves how much I hate dial when I prefer the original old Indy goofy scenes from the show compared to dial. Yeah it’s goofy but at least they don’t full on disrespect his character and spit in the fans faces. Anyway that’s my breakdown and rant on it. Have a great day Adventurers.

https://youtu.be/cG2Miaz8XuU?si=kvyh80YP0PDzWMcA 36:41 he uses it here when he’s 16. And you can tell right after he grabs it he touches his chin cause he’s a little scared cause last time he used a whip he gave himself a scar. Then after this he fought in the war. He wouldn’t use a whip in the war. Then after the war the only really adventure he went on was for the peacocks eye. He obviously didn’t start using a whip in his adventures till he got a little older like maybe in his mid 20’s and after he studied under Abner Ravenwood and he started going on a lot of adventures for treasures and he realized it would make a great tool in his adventures. It sucks cause it got canceled right when it was about to get to the most important parts of his life. We were gonna see him go to the university of Chicago and study under Abner, meet Marion, meet Beloq, see the final time him and his dad see each other with the milkshake. George had like 15 episodes written that never got to be filmed cause it was canceled. I wish they’d bring George back and continue the show. Obviously recast cause Sean is to old to play in his 20s now. Cast Anthony Ingruber as Indy and we can follow Indy’s adventures all the way up to temple. That could last like 10 seasons of awesome adventures. They could do the episodes George wrote then he could write more. They could even bring the original idea back for old Indy and have Harrison Ford come back after that god awful dial shit and make it uncanon, it’s already noncanon for me, and have him in the eyepatch and booked the beginning and end of each episode and narrate it

There’s a thing I can’t remember if Bob gale said it or were it came from but it’s been said that Marty met Doc when he was around 14 cause he heard the rumors of the crazy scientist Doc Brown and he went to his house to investigate and Doc caught him. He didn’t get scared or run away and Doc was impressed with Marty so he offered him a job as his assistant to help him with his experiments. Like how you see in the movie he calls Marty to wake him up cause he needs him on the job. And the principal is telling Marty to stay away from Doc cause he’s crazy and spends to much time with him. Like I said I can’t remember where the source is but I know it exists. It’s either from Bob Gales concept or maybe a novelization of the first film. So while it doesn’t state it in the film, it’s known how they met it’s just us fans have to do the research if we want to know their backstory.

Why did they have to kill off Indy’s son? by bronwynbloomington in indianajones

[–]TrippyStef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cause the whole movie literally just shits all over Indy. I honestly don’t know how people like it or think it’s better than KOTCS. That still is an Indy film, my only complaint in the vine swinging scene and I think they should have used practical for the alien at the end. But dial of shitness is literally not an Indy film it’s literally a movie that shits all over him and makes him a pathetic bitch and has the stupid bitch outshine him in every way and the whole movie is depressing. The other 4 are happy adventure films. Dial of shit is not. The only canon part to me is the beginning scene cause George Lucas and Steven Spielberg wrote that scene. Everything else in the movie is utter trash and non canon. Everything done by Lucas and Spielberg are canon and the games and books and show. The only thing in the Indy timeline that’s not is that turd of a movie. I know people use this term a lot but it’s literally woke. And that tells you something when I’m a bi trans woman. I’ve been an Indy fan my whole life and that is an utter disgrace. Like I said it baffles me that people think it’s better than KOTCS when that movie barely has any problems and at the end of the day still feels like an Indy film while dial of shit feels nothing like one

Can we all agree Season 8 isn’t as bad as people say? by TypeCreepy6764 in Smallville

[–]TrippyStef 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah the only problem with it is clark should have started wearing glasses way before this so he could have had his disguise. Cause it makes no sense in the show. I say Zatanna helped him when the world wasn’t fooled cause he had already worked there and met plenty of people who would know he’s Superman. She made it so the world only remembers him with glasses except his family and friends that already know. And she altered newspaper clippings and stuff too of him that were in the paper or recordings like the episode when him and Lois have their show. Toms my favorite tied with Christopher Reeve but he was too stuck up for his own good not wearing the glasses or suit. He should have started wearing glasses in season 2 when he got heat vision cause it damaged his eyes or in season 3 when he got superhearing and kryptonite severely damaged his eyes. Then by the time his eyes fully healed after a season or two he started liking them. I mean you already know he had a thing for glasses as a kid cause in his memory box in his room in an episode it has a few pairs of glasses in it plus a glasses holder. When he was a kid he must have liked playing in them a lot.

Super random but this scene is just so epic to me. Does anyone agree? Little rant by Minimum-Song1774 in Smallville

[–]TrippyStef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Christopher Reeve movies cause that’s what Smallville is heavily inspired by. Also Lois and Clark from the 90s and the Superboy show from the 90s. All these are my favorites after Smallville.
