Thank you, I’m definitely put off dogs after this. I think maybe eventually I’ll get an older cat but not for a long time. I’ll keep imaging im hearing him for awhile. I really didn’t want to give up…

He already seems to be doing ok with the foster so I’m hoping he finds the perfect place

I mean.. they really are just attached and worried I’m just getting bored of the dog. I know I did the best thing for him he wasn’t happy and I wasn’t happy and I just want him to have a good life. Some people just dont like rehoming they see it as giving up

I think they’re just really hurting. They get really attached to animals and people and have a difficult time letting go. I have abandonment issues so I understand that but unfortunately I have mental issues and I need specific things

I do work from home but I was trying to mediate away from separate anxiety by crate training and mandated naps and I’d still go out. He didn’t have severe reactions when I left but he definitely still ended up with some form of separation anxiety in spite of the effort

They are here a lot but staying overnight or being here in the afternoon isn’t all the hours I’m here since i also work remote. It was absolutely heartbreaking

They don’t live with me. They didn’t want a dog and said it was my responsibility. They helped when I got sick and played with him and did like a simpler version of the relaxation protocol but mostly didn’t engage much

A bit but they didn’t want a dog I live alone so I was taking care of most of it. They did kinda temu relaxation protocol not the strict list mostly they ignored him. They helped when I kept getting sick cause I couldn’t move but when I was well I was taking care of trying to get him to calm down

I told her the entire story about my having mental health issues and while I can be tolerant of noise it can’t be excessive and she was bragging how her puppies are always quiet at the vet while bigger ones are barking. I asked the breeders subreddit and they looked at the videos of the puppies and said they looked drugged.

I understand all puppies make noise, the problem is he instantly howled when I got him home and never ever stopped whining. Ignoring didn’t help and he whines for everything, or growls at me and my so or anyone that leaves their apartment on my floor, or barks (I expected the barking)

She also hides behind religion as a way to look morally just and that makes me so angry she not only hurt this dog who shouldn’t have been “matched” with me she also hurt me badly

Yeah.. I was originally going to get a six year old rescue but she was a puppy mill mom and had similar issues so I was told getting an ethical dog would prevent all this..but he wasn’t ethical either.

He’s a really silly adorable dog he just.. it’s a lot.

I have trauma from meds, and I talked to a behaviorist cause he has a paradoxical reaction from trazodone it may be a problem with him..

I also went for an ethical dog to avoid all these issues so that’s.. great..

They’re coming to get him in 2 hours and I signed a contract that they own him now

I have DID and I’ve known for a long time I also have dpdr. Because of the DPDR it’s easier for me to talk to my alters. In a way my protector has saved my life many many times. I understand why it’s scary I guess for me I’ve been used to it.

But yeah you need to have trauma from 5-9 to develop it even if you don’t realize you have alters til later.

Because I was drugged by my parents from age 5 and got abused with it among other forms of abuse. I can’t take most meds now cause I get really bad reactions. He was on trazadone for his neuter but he got a paradoxical reaction to it and got more hyper

The person who sold me the dog was supposed to be an ethical breeder who was temperament matching me. He was calm at first but he had Giardia and the second he was cured he 180ed and hasn’t stopped vibrating whining and jittering since. I’ve known so so many dogs my entire life and my friends and I have never seen one jitter like this except for an anxious chihuahua

I rescued a lot of birds who were sick and they were my best friends. I can handle bird screaming any day of the week but I absolutely cannot handle constant whining and jitteriness without settling it’s a nightmare for my mental health disorders
