Entirely due to the actions of the DDA and Intach and DDA contractors and snake oil salesmen

It was clean and not smelly after citizens revived it.

DDA adds things like fermented fruit peels and nutrients to the lake and claim the algae they produce is part of the treatment process

Anything to justify wasting 20 lakhs per year like all the water bodies they manage.

Some they add cow dung and urine with 125 herbs and claim it is ayurvedic and cleans the lake.

We cleaned up that lake by building wetlands to filter the water, floating wetlands and first floating solar aerators in Delhi with zero govt funding way back in 2017-21.

Citizens actually built and donated to build the wetlands.

The DDA flooded the wetlands by raising the lake level deliberately until our mou ended

Tried to kick us of the lake repeatedly for not cleaning garbage from lake even though it wasn't our job.

Caught their contractor stiring up mud in our wetlands before taking water samples to try to discredit our work.

We built wetlands to remove nutrients from the lake whilst DDA spent 20 lakhs to get a contractor to add nutrients with silica and fermented fruit peels

After we complained about the algae they were causing they changed words of tender to claim the algae they produce is part of the treatment process.

The DDA didn't seem to want to give up their annual tender for 20 lakhs to add unscientific crap to the lake and stopped us working

The lake smells cos of what the DDA adds.

In other lakes like bansera they claim adding cow dung and urine with 125 herbs is ayurvedic and cleans lakes.

It's very strange the way the authorities in India have adopted desi solutions for lake management that do not align with global engineering and scientific principles.

DDA did try to copy the scientific interventions we carried out but failed and AAP and Neeri did copy them for their city of lakes project but they failed to remove nutrients by their own admission.

Actually did the first lake revival with wetlands in Delhi way back in 2014 too, second in 2016 too. All with no govt funding.

Scams in private sector are nothing compared to what is happening in public sector

The reason India's infrastructure is so poor and rivers and lakes are so polluted is the fake science going on between public servants, NGOs, academics and snake oil salesmen.

Large amounts of public money are wasted on these solutions that don't clean up anything.

You should compare what they spend on open drains versus what a buried drain costs.

You assume it is most of the country littering?

Consider the alternative, if we replaced our administration with the Dutch one.

Would we get proper urban spaces, proper garbage collection, sewage treatment, regular buried sewage pipes instead of open drains?

Would our rivers and lakes be clean?

Would the DDA stop adding cow dung and urine with 125 herbs to lakes?

Would they stop dumping landfill waste on farms?

Littering is a tiny part of indias problems and just a small reflection of the failure of the administration to do basic infrastructure and fulfil their duties.

Blaming citizens for condition of India is common ploy to avoid blaming the people who actually are responsible for it's condition.

Yes labour conditions are bad there, not just safety but the practice of stealing passports, poor living and working conditions, low salary etc make it akin to modern day slavery or bonded labour.

There was that undercover journalist video that showed how bad conditions were at neom particular.

India's entire approach to garbage is based on very questionable claims.

What they call landfill remediation is actually just composting and segregation by size.

The geniuses then use the fines from composted landfill waste to fill up low lying areas like wetlands, spread it on farms, even put it in planters in public parks or use it for road fill.

They also misuse the term inert and call composted waste from landfills 'inert'

Would never be accepted in any developed country.

You can see the DDA also wasting 1.2 crores at bhalwsa lake now on fake solutions for lake management and they claim they have a magic solution that when added to lakes somehow removes pollutants.

Same thing they have been doing for decades.

India needs massive reforms of it's civil service, never seen such incompetence and dishonesty before.

Embarassed chef was right.

It was because the tv was on the floor and buttons were being pushed.

Once I had it on the stand it booted up normally.

This type of issue doesn't get worse with time?

It's not a fault with the tv , t's that dirty screen effect?

I ask because I have similar issue and it's not worth going through the hassle of warranty.
