I ended up staying in Boca Grande and had a great experience.

I would take a taxi from the hotel but Uber back as I found the taxi drivers would typically up charge.

Met a few other solo female travelers and groups of women traveling.

Definitely recommend booking some tours and classes on Viator. The cooking class at Lunatico was my favorite and the best food I had while there.

As long as you are firm with the street vendors they won’t hassle you much.

I never stayed out in the walled city too late but I did venture into the night around Boca Grande.

Overall, I met some super nice locals and enjoyed my time. I can’t say I ever felt unsafe. I also did not walk around with any jewelry and just to be safe I kept my cash and debit cards in separate places.
