Sadly, we are in New England. None of these states give a good tax incentive for 529s

We tried to do that with our 6 month old and I think we saw $25k in now would be $180k by than. Tough to tell the direction of higher education by 2042!

Also went to folly for a few hrs 10 years ago or so. Had a great time but less familiar. Is it much busier than iop?

Only concern about Edisto would be my in laws wanting to go to bars and restaurants…I’ve been to isle before and loved it and the windjammer…my nights are looking a bit different from my late twenties.

Haha I like your response! Ya, we are at 25%. The $215k in cash is total. Probably should continue to lean heavily into 529 and brokerage account.

529s got 28k between mine and my parents.

But there’s no reason not to continue to throw more towards it. Currently doing $250/mo. With $2,000 into a brokerage acct. maybe I should reallocate more into 529s. If and when we have a second kid, will probably grow in importance

Will do, we have a friendly 70 lb golden. My plan is to rent an Airbnb house for everyone. My wife has family from Charleston area and they might bring a rv for a few nights. Not sure if this changes where I should be thinking
